So I made a well thought-out suggestion, posted to the features and suggestions forum and expected to have a lot of discussion on it and people offering feedback and eventually something good would come of it.

I come back today and find...that there's not a single post on it...instead it's on page three and a suggestion on freaking PONIES has more posts...

*sigh*

FML.

What? Content? In this post? No, absolutely not. Move along, nothing to see here. Just venting. Also, cue the trolling below, plz.

Sorry to hear that things did go as you had hoped. However if I may offer a few suggestions. When it comes to the F&I forum it is always a good idea to check through the first few pages just by hovering over the titles for each thread, just to get an idea of what they are discussing.

That way you can see whether the idea you had has been discussed before, and whether or not that idea gained any traction within the community. A Google search might also be of value to you in this regard along with checking the "most frequently discussed" sticky thread at the top of page one of the F&I forum. If you come to the conclusion that your idea is unique, then try to flesh it out a little and give people more to think on and discuss.

Don't be shy about trying to get your ideas heard, but be prepared for some people to not like it. As with most things EVE related, it can be a little harsh on the forums sometimes, but in my opinion an idea is always worth fighting for if you believe in it enough.

So go back out there, build on your idea a bit more and go see what people think. Good luck Cool

As far as my suggestion, I guess most people go "yawn, localnerf" and dismiss it as something like your regular "nerflocal" suggestion, which it really isn't. But oh well. If it doesn't catch traction I guess I'll just make the same suggestion again in a week or so and see if it gets noticed.

Well just use some alts and post with them in your own thread to get the discussion started.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Features and suggestions and most other forums including the "workarounds and solutions", Jita Hall etc. are where you post if you want your posts to never be read by anyone and die.

You have to try your luck in GD and hope a GM won't move your post in another forum (where it will be ignored and will die).

There are 20-30+ pages threads that were growing super hot in GD, got moved into a "relevant" forum and always died within the next few hours. Just keep spamming GD, it's where anyone who matters look at.

As the 120 page threadnaught in Jita Park will attest, no one goes there.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

That sounds all kinds of awesome...I just might take you up on that...
