..Yeah I'm actually surprised that the price went up so quick. I thought it would be at least a month. Barrier to entry on these BC's I think.

I do trade quite a bit, but only with a portion of ISK. Probably a lot like how you do your operation.

I have to work the next two days, but I'd like to get a chat in in-game sometime soon.

It has and hasn't. It went up to mass clearing on patch day. I sold about 1500 BC's it looks like on patch day, though I need to tally. However, expect massive price crushing when all those max run jobs come out of cooker in a few weeks. So the prices we see now, are not likely to be the prices 30 days from now. But hey, maybe more spec ISK will come in, but I doubt it as it hasn't happened for the previous rounds.

So if I wanted, it is highly likely I could rebuy everything I sold lower in 3 weeks. I doubt I will, but maybe.

Always rumors.... it's like a high risk investment trying to get in before things are confirmed and sky rocket, or not confirmed and bombing your investment hard.

Am I blind ? I do not see the "extra materials" on my Ferox BPO. Or well I do but it explicitly shows me as "Extra Materials [0]". I managed to spot few previously lower tier frigates where I did indeed spot the extra materials, Executioner, for example.

Now I have not poked around in test server for that as manufacturing is not my primary activity, but I understood that the production cost of lower tier BC's was supposed to go up as much as 80% and for previously tier 2 BC's as much as 20%. Did I misunderstand something ?

Should not be my cache, as I have not looked at that BPO before today and had to reinstall windows a week or so ago, so cache should have been clear.

I dunno why it doesn't show it but they're there and not returned on a refine: http://i.imgur.com/Px9uxNr.png

And the production cost went up between 40 and 70% depending on the ship (brutixes cost much more to build than cyclones before, so there's a big spread) and tier 2 bc did not go up in any significant manner.

Hm. Seems like indeed. Have you tried bugreporting or petitioning this ?

As "hidden" extra materials sucks a bit. Wonder if the print ME affects the "extra" amount if its implemented in some odd way, not the classical "extra materials" which are not affected by the ME level of the print. Granted, some devs have mentioned that they would like to get away from perfect refine altogehter, but I suspect at least something would be somewhere in patch notes about this as this would be kinda sneaky way of doing it ;)

They're regular extra materials.

I've heard there's a bug affecting them (and has been affecting them for a while). I believe they show up if you try installing the job, on the quote screen.

(my calculator is up to date with the changes, if you're interested in playing with the numbers)

I'm just wondering if the ME on the BPO is affecting these "not so extra" material in game or not (since they don't show up as "extra materials), because they are really affecting the production price : according to fuzzwork, the cyclone costs ~50m with ME 50 (with extra) and I calculate ~45m at ME50 without extra materials (like IG)...

i don't have this bpo to try it :(

I'm still wondering too why people still sell old tier1 BC under the production price (~40-41m instead 45+m for the cyclone, approximatly the same for the ferox @ heimatar)

Try it on SISI.

Extra materials are not shown in the BPO show info, just when you get your quote in the manufacturing process.

As for why people sell below build cost: Because there are piles of 10s of thousands of these things sitting around (or in build) that can't be reprocessed for the new price, and there is only so much demand for them.

Yea its to bad you can't refine the old hulls for the new mineral costs, that would of helped dump a good chunk of minerals unto the market :D

You say help, like dumping a couple trillion isk of 'new minerals' onto the market is a good thing =P (By new minerals, I'm talking about the additional minerals from the new mineral cost, IF you were able to refine it to get them, too.)

I meant more that it would A.) help investors, and B.) help uninflate the current high mineral prices (i.e. pyerite) by adding a large stock pile unto the market and driving down prices. More supply, less costs!!!

Until that supply ran out, at which point prices would rise again.
