As an absolute percentage of invested isk, you'd probably have done better on frigates and cruisers. BCs will probably be somewhat better than Battleships in absolute percentages.

However, the return speed on battleships should be faster for an equal investment of ISK, as the numbers are smaller. Easier to sell 1 BS, rather than 3 BC.

But a BC investment isn't a bad idea. It'll take a while to pay off though. But it's an /easy/ payoff.

Armageddons are nearly 1/3 that of an Abaddon currently.

There certainly is room for the battleships to be a bigger absolute percentage.

You can always refine your battle-cruisers the day before the battleship patch and convert them with minimal loss.

I'm not certain all battleships starting at ~250mil would be CCP's goal. It'll be an interesting year for ship builders regardless of their end plan.

umm. Nothing to see in my last post. Move along move along. Blink

I'd completely forgotten about the Armageddon when I glanced at pricing.

Wouldn't surprise me too much to see a drop in material requirements for the current Tier 3. They've dropped the requirements for the Tier 2 battle cruisers a little (iirc).

They actually raised the second tier battle-cruiser mineral requirements for the drake and the hurricane.

The drake takes ~2.3mil isk more and the hurricane ~3.1mil isk more.

The harbinger got all its stuff tinkered with but over all it'll be less than 50k less.

The myrmidon did get every mineral requirement lowered for a total of ~1 mil isk less cost.

My assessment would be that minmatard's previously cheaper ships are going to be on par with the other races with the current mineral prices.

at the volumes on the market atm, will be along time before minerals have say in any price rise. that doesnt include ppl that havent revealed there stacks(making it worse)

Last time (cruiser) they stopped the instant shift by changing the melted quantities as well yes? above statement assuming the latter is correct.

I'm merely letting anyone interested know. Whether they want to hop on BC tiericide is up to them, although if certain markets are any indication, people are certainly doing it!

Also I've got 500 of each Tier 1 BC of my own in build. ~just fyi~

I sold a ton to pre-patch speculators. Including one of MD's own "elite" for a hefty 30% profit. So BC's were already highly profitable for some of us.

Anything you've heard about BS tiericide is pretty much pure rumor, because CCP has said pretty much nothing about it.

I am going to make battlecruisers out of nothing but tritanium.

Sure they might be a little.. flimsy. But the ammount of money I will save will be extraordinary

how hard could it be anyways.

1) acquire large block of tritanium.

2) roughly cut down to size and legnth

3) try my best to make it look like the ship it is supposed to be

4) cut out a hole for your pod to go into.

5) make other compartments for the warp drive, computer and engines

6) install warp drive, computer and engines

7) paint it

8) sell for massive profit

yes
