This is photoshop right? CCP doesn't actually do this, no way. The new backgrounds are just hi-res map paintings......

THIS is what I would expect to happen when I see stuff like this. It's one thing when it's something a dev undertakes because they love their game and are willing to do things on THEIR time.

I don't see a point in CCP saying "you guys do this, instead of doing this stuff over here that we always complain about not have time, resources, ability to do."



As a subscribing player I feel I have every right to express my opinion over what CCP allocates resources to.

I apologize if I wasn't very clear originaly. I didn't mean any disrespect to CCP Mannapi; he did a fantastic job, it looks good.

He sacrificed his free time and worked longer hours just so we could be even more immersed into this game we love <3

This idea is incredible.

It may not seem like much; after all, many others have pointed to the fact that it's a small, "nonfunctional" addition to the game.

Well, technically they are right in their own way, but I like to think about how all of these little things come together to make a world of difference, ESPECIALLY brilliant ideas like this one.

I love seeing stuff like this put into games, and I absolutely ADORE the fact that this was mainly done as a "pet project in spare time." It's the little things like that that keep me playing EVE Online. (also most notably the passion shown by the devs)

Kudos to a great idea, keep up the good work CCP.

(by the way I also love the new expansion Big smile)

The nebula with little stars is, but there are those "cross lens flare stars" that are brighter, and I think they are actually in the place of the "true" stars on the starmap. I think there is independent mechanism for showing those "true" stars. Stargates are aligned to them.

Custom ship skins, character creator style "repaint". Bring it!

This is so awesome, CCP please spent next year on polishing autopilot and add more shiny thing, because we need this, also ignore totaly tech moons, pos, broken sov etc, who care about them, make stars more shiny.

Existed autopilot and icons work proper but looks like everything in this game that work proper need to be fixed and broken or at last make simple thing full of unnecessary features that in general force people to pay more atention or click more, because you are bored and you have nothing better to do.

I have strange feeling about those who realy excited about this, this therad is full of irony or is serious and show that you dont need awesome big expansion to make people happy, all what you need is small add on with shiny things to make people happy.

Ps. Would be cool to get somthing like paint in game so we can draw lanes and links betwen stars and draw new awesome zodiac.

EvE isn't game, its style of living.
