So I've made this toon as my cash maker I've heard that this is a good way to make money, but how early can I get into this despite being a day old? Can I just get the skills then go ahead and do it? If so, what are the bare minimum skill needed?

Getting ur PI skills up to a point to be making money... I would say get ur command center upgrades to 3 and planetary consolidation to 3 and remote sensing to 1 shouldn't take but 4 hours. Make sure u can fly a minimal indy at this point then try to push CCU and PC to 4.

PI wont make u rich, but its nice on top other income sources with minimal effort.

It's not that bad for a newborn and is more interactive than brainless mining...it's also a good source for vets if you own the pocos (player owned customs offices) and get a zero tax.

PI is not a good source of isk.
The amount of isk to be had is small.
But it can be easy and safe.
It is like a side job to help pay for ammunition.
But it will never keep you in ships.

Yes I am an alt. I see no reason to make it easy for bullies and greifers
