+1 dude,

I like EVE being a space Opera and that means new and crazy things happening, not just wash rinse repeat ad infinitum.

1-2 hours free a night

The more hours you have free, the dafter your ideas look to those of us with fewer hours free.

Same is true the other way.

Hi there. I have 2 hours to play EVE on three days a week, which comes to 0.85 hours a night. Could you please provide some of your ideas so that I can compare them with mine?

You have ideas. Please tell!

Or is it a seekret?

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Well, I pay a very steep price to be able to play EVE 23/7. But really, legs are overrated!

They are only after pod goo, just give it to them and they go away.

Nice to see people learning what EvE really is, hope you continue to have fun and get into a whole bunch of trouble. I hope that you kill many ships as well as dying in many hopeless battles and surprise ganks. I hope you make friends and find enemies at every corner. Good luck out there.

James 'terminally boring' 021 alt detected?

Given that this character signed up to the game three months before James 315 did, it would be some impressive foresight on his part to have made an alt that would, in seven years time, make a thread in support of his opinions on the forums. It's interesting that you dislike him but credit him with such far-reaching clairvoyance.

Lol

Sorry Josef, but if you call everyone in this game my alt, eventually things like that will happen to you. It's only a matter of time. Blink

Make your first character.
Decide you don't like it 3 months later.
Make a new one.
Like this one much more and use it as a main.

Hardly an unusual scenario in Eve and not a sign of foresight or clairvoyance. Not that I buy into the alts everywhere crap I just found the 3 months beforehand thing to be zero argument towards it not being an alt.

Don't you think that you might be reading a little bit too much into Mittani's and James' agenda?

I mean, hell yeah, they have a pretty good point- but we are still just talking about a video game that people are playing for fun.
Mittens and James found a way to have fun in this game and at the same time heavily influence the playstyle of other players.
But I don't think that there is a deep philosophical concept behind their behavior or the intention to enlighten other players or save eve.

But I could be wrong about this...

Oh, I don't think there's a deep philosophical concept behind their behaviour, but I do believe they genuinely want to preserve EVE Online. The idea that Goonswarm would actively seek to ruin a videogame seems abusrd to me now that I actually have a proper think about it - especially given that CFC accounts for around 20,000 players, which, at $15 per head, accounts for $300,000 a month. You wouldn't feed that much money into a game you wanted to fail. No, they play this game and they want it to succeed - they want CCP to succeed - because if the game fails, they'd lose the ability to slap people in the face with giant dildoes made of frozen technetium and bank notes.

You think they pay for their subscriptions? I'm sure a lot of their accounts are paid for using in game ISK.

You realise that game subscriptions paid for via ISK are not free, correct?

Yes, obviously someone had to buy those PLEX for you to buy with ISK in the first place, but they rip people off in game and harass other players to get ISK. Sure they are good to their recruits but they trick new players and get players to leave just as much stay.
