Im sure you guys (especially Two Step) new how much of an impact and outrage this particular section of the minutes was going to cause.

My question is, why could you not have mentioned this to us earlier. I do realise that waiting for the full minutes to be released is the normal procedure, and allows the bad news to be taken in context with the good progress being made.

However with such an important issue why was this not mentioned before hand, could you not have published a blog/press release style post from all of you explaining the issue and CCPs stance on this before now.

This would have allowed much more discussion, and maybe given CCP a chance to come back with a change of mindset over this key issue.

I am glad that CSM is with us on this one, in particular the effort by Two Step in trying to show the Devs just how much anger there is around this.

Because of the NDA. That stands for "non-disclosure agreement".

I didnt think that covered this particular issue. Unless NDA covers everything until the release of the minutes, and only certain subjects afterwards.

Thats pretty much it.

That is why the minutes have to go to CCP for an NDA scrub before release. Before that it can all be potentially called NDA and a CSM member letting any of it slip can be in deep do do.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

But if they had all, as a group, published something? What could really be done. Regardless its happened now I suppose

I think it's important to understand that POSes aren't off the agenda, they simply won't be the overwhelmingly dominant feature in 2013. The summit was when we got some clarification on exactly how CCP planned to go about changing their development system.

We clearly understand that POSes are one of several areas that the community would like to see significant attention to in the next few expansions, and we intend to make a strong case to CCP during the planning process (in which we have greater and earlier access than ever before) that any overarching theme they choose for 2013 must have POSes as one of the key elements. If you look at the diagram in the Unifex devblog, it has to be one of the vertical segments.

Cool most of the answer i wanted.

I guess NDA covers the other bit. Glad to see CCP have started to post in the thread.

But the big question is:

Will they try to fix the current system?
Or they will remake it? ( Modular, with freedom for construction, and with almost all that people are wanting)
Or Both? fixing to keep going whille slowly remaking it..

That is one of lifes greatest mysteries, and no doubt one we will get hints of shortly from the CSM. I would imagine though that some sort of work will be done, whether actually on the POS system itself or on the underlying issues, including corp roles would be part of summer expansion.
