My post on the first page has 46 likes... that was my best post ever (I think, I'm too lazy to go through them... there are so many) Shocked

That is a part of what I don't understand.
People applaud at a clown show to show their appreciation for the entertainment provided.

Is that what the forums are about?
In my mind, all your likes indicate that maybe you are a joker and should not be taken seriously or are all the likes you have the result of your superior knowledge and willingness to share?

The most recent evidence "46 likes" were received for what appears to be a trolling remark.
But then i might have misunderstood your first page post.

I was pointing out that some regulars (like me) pay subscription costs just for the forums.

I log in to change my skills but beyond that I really don't log in.

Also I'm a smartass, not a joker Pirate

Well if you look at the forums and the types of threads it should be pretty obvious why most people decide they are better off just ignoring them.

And other have better things to do like play the game.

Thank goodness you're not responsible for market research or medical trials. The portion of the community that takes part in the forums is a self-selecting component of the community.
Ooook… let's repeat that.

Small minority or not, if the sample is representative, it's not a problem.

Self-selection does not inherently disqualify the sample either.

Takes to long to gather any good information, like finding a needle in a pile of dog crap
