Hmm. Not at login screen, not at character selection.
If you meant the launcher, that has successfully patched my client to death 4 times now, many people don't use it (anymore).

I took the survey to express my complete and utter neutral stance in the is fine and wonderful expansion only because Black Ops still sucks and Super need buff plus proper rolesPirate

I only completed the survey as it came up as the banner, good chance if I did check my email I wouldn't click on the link anyway.

That said when surveys ask for text input I'm always skeptical as single select options are easy to review on a mass scale but do they read the text? My guess would be no.

I was happy to complete the survey and give my opinions and thoughts. As I have been reading a lot of negative posts in the forums lately about issues with Retribution, I suspect CCP is interested to know how a larger cross section of the population feels about the expansion.

I hope CCP continues this, and implements it as well into beta testing. I had read in the forums how unhappy the players were with the Sleeper AI on regular missions during the beta testing of Retribution, but I guess it wasn't persuasive enough for them to rethink implementing it. Maybe a survey instead would have provided a clearer picture of the players reaction.

My overall impressions of Retribution can be summarized with saying "Meh" and shrugging. Not a bad expansion, but certainly not impressive or conversation worthy. I would hardly call it an expansion.

IMO Retribution falls on the lower end of mediocre. Not low enough to hate it, but not high enough to like it. I guess indifference and slight disappointment sums it up better.

Mostly a bunch of behind-the-scenes and number changes. The shineys we did get were four new destroyers which were bland and underwhelming. I'll see a newbie flying one now and then, but I haven't seen anyone seriously fly one. Playing with them on EFT and they just seem to fall short.

That's about as honest of an opinion as I can give.

They send out surveys after every expansion, but they surveys don't go to every player. Probably a random selection. I've filled many surveys, but didn't get this one.

Best expansion during my EVE time.

+ Dozens and dozens of new shiny ships
+ Crimewatch changes for lowsec
+ Sensor Compensation skills
+ RAH & DDA buffs
+ Safety off!
+ UI improvements (Damage notification stream, targeting UI, tracking camera)
+ New sounds

Even if not a single change in Retribution made any difference to me (and quite a few of them did) then I'm happy with it because it's seen a huge increase in the number of people logging in.

Don't underestimate "numbers" changes; in a sandbox style game, game mechanics are everything. Given that there's extremely limited scope for adding new ships now, 'reclaiming' a couple of dozen T1 Frigates and Cruisers is actually a pretty big deal in terms of the number of ships it's worth flying. We certainly got a better deal out of the Tiercide project than we did from the 4 EAFs or Black Ops being introduced, wouldn't you say...?

Incidentally, CCP Unifex has openly stated that the summer expansion is going to be the big "new content" one. It'll be interesting to see what they have in mind. Could it be an Apocrypha style expansion of both the size of the game and the modes of gameplay available?

meh missed the login ad chance for the survey, looks like ill have to wait for the mail about it to arrive, you guys should post a news article about the survey so it is visible in the char selection and more people have a chance to see it.

Usually when there has been a survey, I have had to link it to my alliance mates, because I have been the only one of them to get the survey mail.

Wish you guys would this through the EVE mail system.

The mail system that is tied to my account, and can be used whether I'm logged into the game as well as out of it.

I got 2 email serveys in 7 years.
The emails don't reach every EVE player anymore than the forums do.

The EVE mail does though, yet you guys don't utilize it.

Splash ad at login screen would do the trick also Blink

Wrong, I've normally typed in my password and hit enter already as the add pops up and then it dissapeers never to be seen again

I am seeing about a dozen stickied threads in the feedback forums re: Retribution. Some are REALLY long, with tons of feedback.
Yet you now prompt us to fill out a survey asking us our opinion about Retribution.

The only reason I can see for such a survey is that CCP has recognized that these forums may not be the most accurate gauge of the player base's satisfaction / dis-satisfaction with the game, and the dev's/designers can't be bothered to wade through all the propaganda in any given thread to mine out the actual feedback.

If that is the case, thank you.

Where is this survey? I have not even received one in email.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?
