I hope not. r/eve is a cesspool and no meaningful content gets posted there.

I regularly run into new people in real life who tend to lurk Reddit, I then use reddit as a means of showing them something about EvE

Id definitely say Reddit is a great place to get attention.

There doesn't go a single day you don't see 3-4 topics on Reddit about MMOs and the universal answer to every post is "EVE Online." Worst community? EVE. Best community? EVE. Worst MMO ever? EVE. Best PVP? EVE.

Every single day of the week, seven days a week you will see ardent defenders of this MMO plastering the walls of Reddit. I have to say I consider myself a pretty hardcore gamer, but had Reddit not existed I doubt I would have ever heard about EVE. Is Reddit the marketing team EVE needs?

But don't people ignore TEST Alliance? I mean you even ask them to nicely...

but who's shouting from the rooftops telling everyone about how much awesome content we're making? Reddit.

Lots of people,

Massively, IGN, Eurogamer, RockPaperShotgun, the BBC.

Just google Eve online news and you get a lot of non-eve sites talking about it in various guises.

Yes I frequent Reddit too but it's not the be all and end all or the center of the internet, no matter how much some claim it is.

Implying gaming journalism is worth the effort reading anymore.

And Reddit is better/more credible, is that it?

Get real, get over yourself, get the **** out.

EVE doesn't need any saviours, just in case that hasn't been made clear enough. And even if it did, then it can certainly do one Hell of a lot better than the likes of goon/test/pathetic legion/cfc/hbc/ (<----names unworthy of capitalisation) whoever the

None of those entities operate in hisec to any significant degree, how can they be "the grand ultra-victor of the bot-lands?"

No, just another thing killing it. I don't WANT you redditors in my game. You join EVE, join Dreddit, get told how to make enough ISK to afford PLEX each month and become yet another non-content-creating, useless parasite in EVE that drives up PLEX prices and nothing more.

And ^^that,^^ too.

Deep-blue zerosec is as safe, or even in some ways safer than hisec, in my experience.

And we all know whose alts those hisec botting accounts are, don't we.

**** off, *******.

There is no limit on how many mission runners a system in hisec can support

No system in 0.0 can support more than a dozen ratters, and that's only if they're upgraded to hell and kept at that level

Also nullsec isn't protected by instagibbing NPCs and you have no evidence that hisec bots aren't largely controlled by, well, players who play exclusively in hisec

Anyway Reddit doesn't really serve to attract much attention to EVE since each subreddit is pretty walled off from the rest of the community

Saving grace? Hardly.

Calling Reddit a saving grace for EvE is like calling colon cancer a saving grace for regular bowel movements.

Oh, and that new mental image you just acquired, you're welcome.

The Eve devs are the "saviours" of Eve, since if they did a terrible job Reddit posters probably wouldn't be too interested in marketing they're product imo.

If Reddit is EVE's saviour, then they might as well shut the servers off right now, as such quality deserves nothing less.

The EVE community is EVE's saviour, as has been demonstrated more than once, so stop trolling TESTie-tard.

I am enjoying EVE, and I have also been a redditor for the last 2 years.

Prepare to see way more cats in EVE... they will spread like a plague
