I spend about 4x more time reading about eve than actually playing it, I would say. Right now... I have really no idea what's next. POS something or other? New caps or something? Didn't they say something about tags for sec status? Ambulation's been shelved? DUST doesn't give you any credit for a double kill. Sad face. Anyone know what's up?

I have a dust bunny. He can stand facing an opponent for 20 minutes firing an AR and not hit ****. DUST bunnies aren't going to be taking any of Gogela's spaceships in the foreseeable future. Promise.

Edit: I'm killing in Halo 4 at about 5:1 atm... in dust? If I break even it's a firickin' miracle.

I suspect Eve is heading in the direction of giving a reason for Dust 514 to be connected to Eve. Perhaps planetary services are in the future for the next expansion.

Apparently CCP wants to make eve more like every other MMORPG at this point, with healers, tanks and DPS dealers and large gangs. Then they want to combine that with a FPS and basically monopolize on everything safe, well established and proven to make money.

You know...
Everything exactly the opposite of what EVE used to stand for.

But who cares right, now we get to buy more cloths for our characters.

This is because you can use a keyboard and mouse in dust. And people do. lol.

As long as CCP doesn't take the same road Blizzard did, I'll be fine.

If they start to make a zoo out of my CQ or pandas become the fifth race, I'll be heading elsewhere.

Remove standings and insurance.

Maybe they do that because it works well?
Do you see anyone complaining about this stuff?

It takes some serious getting used to. I'm definitely gonna have to dig up a new keyboard and mouse to play it. The problem is (which I don't think is a problem at all) a lot of console FPS games have really heavy aim assist because controllers are ****. DUST doesn't appear to have any aim assist at all, and I think it's a good thing, it means you have to aim and can't just get kills by spamming an AR or DMR or just pulling the trigger on a rocket launcher (except I think the HMG and Mass Drivers make them all moot points in the end....).

Recently the expansions have mostly been fixing things rather than adding features. There basically patching the game with balance, fixes and updates and calling them expansions, this is fine for me since its letting them spend development power on the current game rather than new features. Its better for their marketing though to call them 'expansions' and release them every 6 months.

Some of the upcoming stuff that im looking forward too is:

POS revamp
More balance by Fozzie and Yitterbaum
Fanfest 2013

Wish list:
Wormhole features added, C7 wormholes new T3 ships perhabs (although they have already said they want to balance T3 cruisers first)

Venture nerf (hard to scan, fast aligning, +2 warp strength frigates that suck gas better than BC's and have a larger hold + faster to train)

They got a roadmap for nullsec revamp, they're going to change the exploration, over the years they've also mentioned ring mining and comet mining, industry and POS changes, new ship destruction models, tessalation, real asteroid fields, going inside the sleeper stations to look for artifacts etc. However I don't think that any of those will see the daylight until 2015 the earliest (probably even later), so most likely the next several expansions will be more about ship balancing, UI changes and little things - like oversized patches instead of real expansions. Frankly I'm somewhat disappointed about the direction where this game is going at this rate. Since the market doesn't have good alternative games, got to play Eve... Can we get (soon™) a real expansion?

Yes. Now that you mention it. But it does seem to work well as a business model regardless.
