Lack of cosmic signature sites (in high sec at least)

Also, tbh, anomalies are pretty much the worst possible way of going about finding faction drops. Even belt ratting is better.

They are ok if you are farming them in null and maybe lo sec for bounties, then the occasional faction spawn/escalation is a nice bonus. But hi sec anomalies are really wortheless (unless you are in your first couple of weeks in EVE).

The spawn rate of sites is even easier to understand. Before there were 35 total (x) sites per constellation that bounce around randomly after completion. Now there are 12.

Where did you get these numbers from, if you don't mind?

Also I am pretty sure plexes respawn is region-wide, not constellation-wide. Too many times have I seen multiple 4/10s - 6/10 side by side or in the same system, or had a plex disappear from a constellation after despawning (and I can locate them pretty quickly if that's what I am going after).

Unless you mean just that

number of sigs in a region = 12 * number of constellations

?

I think that myth arises because CCP appears to have several different methods of controlling the distribution of some sig types. ie there are certainly ladars and others that are tied to constellations. Certainly 4/10s etc have a wider pool to be distributed to (but also exhibit some system specificness).

As the number of explorers rises, the tendency to sweep the sigs to the corners of the map rises too. As an easy counter example to that myth, I am aware of a constellation with 3 highsec systems, that have simaltaneously had 10+ sigs EACH, if the myth persists, I'll screen shot things that easily disprove the 12 per constellation hypothesis.

Yeah, there are a couple of hi sec pockets in Aridia that display the same behavior. Once in a while someone will come and clear the interesting ones, but the useless ones (mostly mags/ladars/drones) keep piling up for a couple of weeks sometimes.

It's just an example, other players have pulled numbers from test that show much more than I ever could. As far as the constellation thing it's just a common thing most explorers agree on for some sites. The actual details on the where and how is unknown.

I could say there were 12 that spawned for a given area of type (x) and now there are 4. I just mean there was a recorded reduction by many players for a long time now that just got worse and it has nothing to do with random factors.
