Mysterious armoured soldiers appear in The Summit!

Over the past few days, mysterious armoured soldiers have appeared in The Summit, and other channels, causing fear and alarm amongst the capsuleers normally present, and interrupting the debates about whether God exists in the form the Amarr say he does, and the discussions about pet slaver hounds.

Disturbing!

The heavily armoured figures, none of which revealed their face, spoke of such things as engaging in planetary battles, with support from capsuleer ships in orbit, targeting ground features with precision strikes!

Escalation!

This development, if true, represents a substantial increase in the intensity of conflict in the militarised zones where the current wars rage.

Some claim it is a desperate Caldari plot, as the Caldari Militia currently have space control of just one system, the former Presidential palace of Ladistier.

Others blame the Jovians, or the Minmatar militia as being behind this new and confusing turn of events.

Baffling!

Gutter Press will continue to report on these and other stories as they develop.

They will be held to the same standards as anyone else in The Summit, so do let us know if they act up.

That being said, I want one! Simply adorable.

The woman from the Gutter Press was killed in a Sani Sabik ritual a week or two ago. Granted, they did say they were preserving her neural patterns to transfer into a clone, but the psychological damage from such a brutal death would have laid up most people for quite some time.

Muck Raker had an unfortunate incident during one of Synthia's Rituals at the Church of the Crimson Savior, namely she lost her head.

Muck Raker it was entertaining to see you being decapitated, to bad it didn't stay that way.

I wonder why the Blood Raiders are trying to hard silence Muck Raker? Could she be privy to information they don't want to know? Perhaps Omir is involved in a scandalous affair with an Amarrian Priestess and is trying to bring in traditional Amarr values to their faith!

Shocking!

I don't know that they spread fear. They were extremely polite and courteous! My only annoyance was their picture. I at least dressed up to have a picture taken of me, rather than just having a stock picture of a capsule from a catalog.

I must admit I see no point at all in sacrificing meat without soul nor mind. Or, in this case, with a soul or mind that won't die. You could sacrifice a couple beef stakes, it would have the same metaphysical impact.

In any case, and returning to the issue at hand. I don't know about these mysterious metal soldiers or even if they aren't a delusional idea of the reporter, but seems like there is something brewing in CONCORD about land soldiers. At least, some of my contacts in the Navy have suggested such a thing.

Terrestrial Mercenaries will be allowed access to The Summit fluid-router systems. They will be held to the same standards as all others who broadcast on that socket.

Those who have been observing the new technologies now seeing use in ground theatres may be able to tell you; you may have more in common with this new breed than you may think.

However, this brings up another point that should be known...

Planetary-based requests for read-only permissions to The Summit have been steadily growing this past year. While I've limited these requests for access, which are often attempted using bursts of brute-force connections, data is emerging that suggests that several 'repeater' sub-nets exist across the public GalNet infrastructure. Apparently The Summit, it's denizens, and it's content, is popular somewhere.

Who knows how many are listening? Thousands? Millions? Investigation continues.

They're definitely real, I saw one in-channel earlier today. Also, beef stakes? I'm keeping that phrase handy for my next night out on the town!

Indeed. In fact, several more of these Mercenaries are appearing as the days go by.

I think they simply enjoy listening to the fascinated questions from the confused capsuleers.

These reports seem to substantiate rumours circulating on intelligence back channels for some time concerning the developments in new personal weapon and armour technology. However we should be clear that these reports do not support some of the wilder claims; that have yet to be substantiated.
