[quote=CCP Eterne]Bottom line is that if CCP isn't talking about it on the forums, it's because a decisions hasn't been made. It's not because the issue is being ignored. And there might possibly be plans that make any discussion moot because we haven't seen how future updates are going to affect the issues being talked about.

That's good and well, but think back how LONG it's been since drones were basically broken. By my count, it's been since roughly Trinity (2007).

Issues like bad drone UI, bad drone AI (damage splitting, not being applied, etc.), T2 drones having the same resist profile as T1 drones, lack of drone damage rigs (besides Sentries), Sentries themselves being broken (do not require nor are affected by racial drone specialization at T2 level, unlike EVERY other drone and weapon system out there), etc., etc., etc. How long has this been going on? A very, very, very, VERY long time. Correct?

So when CCP tells us they're discussing it internally...I don't know about you, but I'd like to hear something more concrete. Because they've had more than enough time to talk about it. Five years? I'd say it's plenty to come up with something. I'm sorry if this sounds offensive, but really drones are and have been in a deplorable state for far too long.

You just got Drone Damage Amps! That should be enough for the next five years ;)

Yeah...I`m sure the Devs often have very pationate debates when discussing issues with the game. I would not be surprised to hear that during their meetings, a lot of Devs experience the blood boiling sensation when arguments and ideas they do not agree with fly accross the table. Some of them probably even feel like throwing objects accross the room when that happens.

Am I wrong CCP Eterne? Tell us (at least) how you feel sometimes during your meetings. And what was it about again?

Nah, they read through the agenda and then stamp each item with the big, red working as intended stamp and knock off early :)

Aside from the fact that sounds exactly like gov speak, you are meaning that you have properly identified the problem in both dev and player minds properly, found a simple easy and wrong fix that got stopped, but was so beautiful it has derailed the serious solution as it is more complex.
Thus you have descended into 2 warring camps that sally forth with interns to do battle to destroy convince the other side of your glorious and correct idea.
Meanwhile the interns are busy forming a union against unfair practices like being used to stop the paper shredder monster by lobbing their bodies into it, and you are having a more difficult time acquiring new ones as EU health and safety has begun to question if you have a butcher shop licence.
During all this no work is being done as the computers were all immediately pressed into using as wall material and the hamsters lack the thumbs needed to code the solution themselves or open the new bags of food.

Sound about right?

Thanks for the reply although this is quite obvious that you discuss balance internally before you release it to the player base :)

Drones:
Yet another ton of threads on this topic. Any response from CCP yet?
Tinfoil Hat: CCP is working through the rebalancing of ships before they want to talk about rebalancing drones.

Feel free to add your own ideas about topics that CCP avoids. Have fun thinking up scenarios, and by all means, troll like there's no tomorrow.

A bigger issue I've seen on the missions subforum is that Tracking Disrupters have been broken making Sansha missions impossible with turrent fits.

Well, it's not the best way to do things than ask players feedback/ideas about ship changes if some missing information is not available.

Want an example? -well, keep 7.5% active repair bonus on two BC Gallente hulls as it stands (horrible) has no sense, even less to keep it on the Brutix Hull.
Now without further information about eventual armor tanking changes, you guys can't expect anything else than negative feedback, right?

Doesn't matter if it's not implemented at the same time, but it matters to know your plans about those changes to have a seemingly constructive discussion because you know, spreadsheets in space Lol

Based on what I see from activists with what we call "Freedom of Information Act Requests, or "FOIA", I instantly thought we could petition this information out, while forgetting "where I was" for a moment.

But to imagine you guys releasing a document with everything redacted except the words "Arena", "Re-SP'ed", "P2W", "CQ-sex", and "nullbalance" and the epic speculation that would cause, could make it worth the trouble.
