Hi well yestarday i was putting items on markets and i stupidly put item up for 400b instead of 400m the brokers fee was over 3.5b

my question is anyone else done somthing like this and is it worth me asking ccp for the isk back or should i forget it and go put my head through a wall

anyone else had similar experiance?

imagine somebody smoked the same stuff as you did and actually buys your stuff for 400b...thought about that?

I dont think they will do anything, but what can you lose? up to you of 3,5b are worth the effort of typing two lines

Lol i know right but i removed the item from market didnt want to scam anyone

wonder why there isnt an idiot warning if putting item up for way over market avrage like there is when buying items lol

I guess there is a pop-up with a warning, but maybe you´ve deactivated it

From what I've heard, CCP will sometimes reimburse you IF nobody's bought anything from the order.

Be glad this is just a game and you can try petition CCP to have the fee reimbursed.

In RL trading you won't reimbursed for typoing orders. You just lose everything you have earned in your life in 5-10 seconds and that's it (that can be mitigated with some brains but still...)

Happened to a guy I knew. Thought he placed order for 2 options, got 200 instead, so instead of a few 1000 usd, order was for several 100 k. in the 5 minutes it took to kill the trade the market moved against him and he lost 25k usd.. shortly followed by his job.. now there's a sucky day.

Petition it, I know they will reimburse sometimes for such mistakes.

I made the same mistake once, had about 10b broker fees.
Petition it, be friendly, tell them the exact time you put up the order, how many items, what the order contains and the price, don't remove it from the market until they tell you to do it.
There is no guarantee you will get it reimbursed but it worked for me.

Much worse is when you sell your stuff way below the price you want to sell it. Sold about 100 cover ops cloaks for 700k instead of 7m once, or a few thousand warrior 2 drones for about 400isk instead of 400k (this happened at a time when there was no warning when you changed your prices for an existing order to a very low value).
There is no chance to get your ISK back, since those orders are instantly fullfilled.

Lol tbh it is funny and no didnt happen becouse cant count

you know youve just finished work have a beer then it turns to 8 beers and you havent noticed time gone *snip* just as i was pressing last few didgets then enter

I have only ever done this when the market glitches. for example when you change items from T1 to T2/officer and the picture updates for the item type, but the market is stuck on the T1 item. In this case petitions resolve nothing as obviously they have no logs.

Had an 8.5 and a 7.5 B tax loss in the times i traded.Jut petition it and hope the one who handles it is in a good mood.

My advice for future, enter 0's in 3's, 2 sets of 0s in 3's is in the millions
