Hi all,

Im quite new to this but i have been doing some spread sheets for minerals that i mine and then the few items i make, at the moment i have to manually enter the prices in to my spreadsheet from the market on jita but this is taking time. I know there are programs out there and on forum that say it will do it for youbut im concerned if i download they could contain viruses or hacking software that woudl then be on my pc

is there a way that i can do it myself so that when i load up my excell sheet it will automatically get the prices from Jita or a location of my choice.

I have seen some excell spread sheets that do it but again i have to download. Is there a safe site that is trusted with CCP so i know they are safe, dont mind even paying if it does what i need

any help would be great

Thanks

Not aware of any application that does this. Which only means that someone needs to make one.

Use spreadsheets in Google Docs and import data from EVE-central via the built-in XML import feature.

This is the best industrial tool I've found. You probably won't want to download it because it's not officially sanctioned by CCP. You are missing out.

Excel can pull data from a web source ( read some kind of market API )

Personally I would use C# to write a plugin for Excel to automatically pull pricing data from the evecentral API and then sort it out a bit.

This would be notably easier than using....basic.

There is. There's one guy using javascript, the ingame webbrowser and the API
to download whole regions at a time, containing all the market data.
All the items, all the prices, of a whole region. To his harddrive.

I petitioned him. I'd not suggest trying to find out how it works. :)

Check the science and industry forum or the eve technology lab for a question like this.

You can do the inline update thing mentioned above I believe. I've never messed with it because I built the program in my sig to get away from updating spreadsheets all the time. Dedaf's is fine (linked above) if you want to use a spreadsheet.

Add all the items and minerals into the in-game market quickbar.

Then when gathering prices select the buy or sell order you want to use for that data and Ctrl+V it. You can now paste this data directly into a spread sheet :D

With some fancy formulas you can get Excel to remove the " ISK" at the end of each of them and use the numbers raw.
