Could the Naga become a torp boat in the upcoming balance changes?

OK...you want a fast and mobile ship that can spit out torpedoes.

Since torpedoes have a rather short range, wouldn't it be great if this ship could also cloak to safely approach its target?

And maybe even use covert ops cloaks and get a bonus to it?

Perhaps even let it launch bombs?


Yeah, CCP should totally make such a ship.

Interesting figures you are using, considering even CCP has no idea how much or how little TD's will affect missile performance.

It is unlikely that it will use the same numbers for missiles as it does for guns, however even if it did, by your logic all turret ships would be useless as well. Blink (I could be wrong, but I believe TD effects stack as well).

In fact, they aren't sure if they will expand the capabilities of TD's, TC's, and TE's or if they will instead go with a completely new set of modules that affect missiles instead (to reduce any confusion, and avoid the above being potentially overpowered).

Dear CCP,

please reintroduce Naga's 8 missile hardpoints and +5% ROF bonus
leave rail gun bonuses and 8 turrets too

we don't mind poor hardpoint placement

Hell, the thing can shoot Torps out its butt for all I care, i just want a bc hull that has 8 torp launchers.

From my understanding, the role of the Naga is largely similar to that of the Talos.
So what if in the upcoming balance changes, the Naga was given bonuses to siege missile launchers?


I wish they would make it a torp boat. Pissed me off when they initially decided to make it a hybrid only ship. 4 new ships added to the game, and none were missile boats. 4 weapon platforms in game, projectiles, missiles, hybrids, and lasers. They should have kept to that model per race on the new Battlectuisers. Just my opinion.

…and drones (and smartbombs), spread unevenly across four races with each race having two main weapon systems. So without at least 8 new BCs, it wouldn't be possible spread them out properly anyway. Also, it's not like a Caldari BC wasn't already one of the primary missile platforms in the game, so why add another?
