bounties on ice miners

Last week after the announcement of the whole, kill ice miners deal, I got in a frigate and went to probably 90% of the systems the Goons said they were going to be targeting. I didn't see one goon and actually saw people mining ice, so, I'm kinda leaning more towards the guy with great sentence structure. I think they need help accomplishing their goal, makes me wanna spend the 9 minutes training Ice Mining and give it a whirl myself.

Goon Swarm.. can't trust 'em. They're taking bribes from miners to mine the ice. Then blowing up every other person that bribes them.

Yeah, how dare those mean goonies offer you isk to shoot miners! I mean, at the worst you lose a quarter point of sec status and a hillariously inexpensive ship. At best you get paid for collecting killmails. Sounds like blind robbery to me.

kill pod cheap alt in T1 indus-> 15M bounty, almost zero cost, done in 5 minutes.

there was 20 exhumers per belt to start with and there is at least 18 belts. ie if they ganked 2 every hour, 18 ships didn't get ganked in each belt. With people logging in/off etc, it took a while to gain control of the belts, and miners got attracted by the prices too. As they ganked/scared individuals then the belt population eventually fell until warping to the belt was a 20 minute proposition before an attempt.

Goons also flub unbelievable numbers of attempts. When I was observing I was wondering whether the goons are yet to discover ship scanners, and instead use a special process of infering the tank fitted by how badly the thorax fails at ganking it, and then bring sufficient battlecruisers based on the thorax result.Roll

I looked this weekend and there were more belts than exhumers. The one mack that I saw, was owned by royal federation, who I'd seen before with an onierios repping the hulk, and sure enough the hulk wound up on the goon kb. Only ehp will save you from artillery, not repping.

If you want a convincing km, put velds in the indy and get it shot by a belt rat as well.
