You spin me right round, baby, right round like a record baby, right round round round.

Or that should be the case but I can't spin. Sad

Not only can I not spin, my 2 mains haven't seen a security update in month's. On this character the security status is completely blank, on my other account last update made there, was last year somewhere in the summer.

Arrow What I did first was clearing the Cache from in game.
Result: a nice kernel panic Shocked. With all my other stuff open and not everything saved I was not that much pleased.X
Worse though, no ship spinning and still no security updates.

Arrow Then I cleared the cache from my HD users/application support/eve -> cache and settings.
Didn't work either.

Arrow Then I threw the entire EVE folder from above in my trashcan, emptied it and reinstalled EVE from a new install -> http://community.eveonline.com/download/
That didn't work either, so as last resort I wrote a petition.

I got a response 3 days ago, which i found very quick in the light of the recent festivities and with time and such I only had today an opening to do as suggested, even though it was something I had already done: trashing the cache manually.

Quote:
It may be that you'll need to clear your out of game cache; reinstalling your client will not reset the cache and will result in cache errors continuing after the reinstall. This will reset your client's settings to the default, so please ensure that you have exported your overview settings to a file first!

Sadly I still can't spin. Sad

Now i don't want to clog up the petition system further with silly stuff like ship spinning and security update logs, so I was hoping some of the bright minds here might have an idea how to fix my issues.

Could there be some other cache file/folder lingering around that frakks things up for EVE?

Thanks in advance. Smile

Something similar just happened to me... Client was slower than usual when I logged in, I was then able to undock. Shortly after that though things got weird. Completely lost camera control; trying to reset the camera angle did nothing. Screen locked up at a bizarre viewing angle.

Noticed that mouse control was sluggish; clicks would not be recognized or would not be recognized in the correct area of the screen. Cursor moved around fine at normal speed, but if I right clicked on my ship, the menu that came up was the navigation menu, not the ship menu. Also, the menu would appear not where I clicked but in another area of the screen. I would then not be able to select anything from the menu using the mouse.

I logged out and logged back in. Had similar problems; was able to dock, barely. Once in dock, I was unable to interact with any of the buttons on the Neocom. At this point the mouse became useless though the cursor would still move around and I had to quit using hot keys. First time anything like this has ever happened to me.

Full screen mode
No clones
OS X 10.6.8
27in iMac
3.1 GHz Intel Core i5
4 GB RAM
Radeon HD 6970M

Edit: The problem persists after restarting the client. Mouse is sort of responsive at first, becomes quickly unusable. Noticed that you have to click on everything more than once to get any response for the short time that things do respond. Impossible to play the game like this. Will try reinstalling the client.
