Hi i have spent the last hours trying to understand if there is any kind of HW acceleration in the current build of the Eve client.

Im using a X-Fi Fatat1ty edition soundcard and windows 7 x64.

There was a new driver released 3 Jan 2013 Creative´s new driver 2.18.0015

And when im looking in the setup under "Audio & Chat" the audio output says "Speakers (Creative SB X-Fi)"

So now i wonder do i use the hw? or do it just relay the sound to the soundcard?

Have been looking at some threads on the net that uses Creative ALchemy to activate a box saying:

[HW acceleration] that you can check to active HW acceleration.

I cant get such a box to show.

On the other hand the posts are from 2009-10.
So they may have changed the sound engine. Think i did read a DEV blog about that a while ago.

Im rely confused.

No one knowing anything about this subject?

Would be real nice to at least know if there is any HW acceleration option to turn on like there was before.

Or have they changed the sound engine so that option is no more?
