Rod Hull for CSM8!!!! OMG, the thought of Emu getting to "grips" with fellow CSM'ers and CCP Devs at the summits has me in stiches (yes, I'm easily amusedP)

For those that aren't familiar with Rod Hull and Emu, I present this for your viewing pleasure.

Hi !

My name is Troy McClure.

You may remember me from such entertaining movies as ...

... "Outlaws in Space", or "AFK... be gone".

I liked you more in "Dude, where's my Hulk?" and "Great Balls of Fire".

edit: That Samuel L. Jackson is Amarrian and part of CVA makes a lot of sense to me. In Star Wars he insisted on wielding a purple lightsaber: SCORCH!

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

I preferred you earlier works such as .. "Blood on the highway." or "Crash test dummies."

The idea of Wayne Rooney having the patience, social skills and reasoning ability to play eve is very amusing.

EDIT: Actually, a more fun question might be - What type of Eve player would various famous people be?

For example, SLJ is potentially the coolest man in the world. What would be his style?

Social skills in Eve? ... oh, you are a funny one.

Nothing clever at this time.

You got that one right. I have absolutely no idea who Mathew Lillard is.

He played Shaggy on the Scooby Doo movies, and one of the killers on the first Scream among others. Also played on the Wing Commander movie as LT. Todd Marshall.

Just strangly enough, Kalanja, you look like a celebrity... and if your lower half would show you be standing on one leg...

LOL! Like most EVE threads, this one went awry after about 5 minutes. I think most people would be surprised just how many well known people are gamers.

My only brushes with fame were passing Jack Klugman on the Manhattan street, nearly getting my eye poked out by Wayne Roger's umbrella in Manhattan, having a drink next to Sam Shepard in Charlottesville and bumping into Lyle Lovett in the LA Nikko hotel. Oh, and I used to live next door to Sam(antha) Bleier, Rocky's daughter in Pittsburgh.

Perhaps the most memorable celebrity brush I had was with David Carradine and his body guard at a ComicCon in Atlanta I believe.

I had always liked his work, however it was my wife that went up and got an autographed picture for her father (who was a big fan) while I observed. We also sat near them in the bar later that evening.

This was shortly before his death, and of all the people there (including Nathan Fillion and a couple of the other Firefly cast, which was great) Mr. Carradine left the strongest impression.

I'm really not sure who kept a closer eye on the people around him, David or his body guard. While he was cordial, calm, and composed to those who came up to buy his autograph, he watched everyone (and I mean everyone) in the room like a hawk... and while his bodyguard was very attentive he paled in comparison to his employer. There was a certain very calculating manner he had about him that was slightly unnerving, like a hawk watching a group of field mice.

It was a strange mixture of masked distaste at being there to begin with, and being extremely cautious of anyone remotely close to him. I don't know if he had had bad experiences to begin with (he has been in the business a long time, and martial arts actors probably get a lot of wierdo's hanging around them) or perhaps there is something to the conspiracy theories that sometimes surface around his death... I don't know.

But I do know I had no desire too get to close, and one got the distinct impression that if anyone had gotten stupid around the two of them it would not have ended well.

Quite an interesting man, one of the few celebrities out there that appeared to have a lot more to him than met the eye.

He would have fit in quite nicely in our community I think. SmileSmile

I would like Morgan Freeman to FC a fleet during a live event with Samuel Jackson as the opposing FC. Eve would probably implode from awesomeness.

Morgan Freeman wouldn't call primaries...he would just call all out enemy pilots and order them to self-destruct.
And everybody would obey.
