Are there any corps whos requirements dont include and I repeat dont include mandatory API check, Vent and SP requirements?

Seriously if I have to give my mothers maiden name and my social security # why would I want to join this corp?

Didnt think so. Corp requirements will kill EVE eventually. I would like to discuss the all the requirements corps push on new members and the problems they create.

1. API Check. Unless you have no mangement skills and cannot trust your members then this should not be required but if that is the case then you shouldnt be running a corp that consists of players other than your alts.

2. Vent People in RL have to listen to asshats all day long and now you want us to spend our free time listening to more arsehats yeah thats a good idea. I understand comms when in fleet situations but to require your members to listen to your story about banging some tramp last night no thank you. Get a Life.

3. Min Skill Points If you read the threads on the forums a new player can actually contribute to a fleet with little SP's and a tackle frigate so why do you require a min SP to join? One would think you would want a low SP players so you can train them and instruct them into a proper skill plan rather than throwing SP's up on everything.

Just my 2cents and no I havent been burned or rejected from a corp and yes I am psoting on an alt because my Mains corps requirements are a joke

mate give your details and get going in the game, these people asking have more experience and have more than you and you want what they have a corp.

they need it to help them help you.. its like trying to order food with no menu to choose from.

personally i would doubt any corp who doesn't ask for details.. in my corp we have site registration, teamspeak3 interview and api key are require before you get a trial period, then you must be able to handle yourself prove this and as time goes on maybe other corp related tasks, this is eve and what its about.. if you dont offer the corp something why should they offer you a place.. your joining them remember, not them joining you..

i mean this to help you not anger you peace :)

1: Because collecting a random bunch of hobo's off the street and trusting them without question is good for business :)

2: Not all corps are good corps

3: Perhaps they have all the pawns they need?

Because Far-que... That's why.

Have you even looked? Dred nots has some amazing pvpers that only listen on comms, they dont require API as a corp and no minimum SP level. they only require these things when they have something at risk :) like all sov holding alliances worrying about spies. It is a little different if you live in low sec and are Pirates. Open your eyes and look around, join 'dred nots' channel in game if you are interested. BTW its not hard to give out your api unless you are a spy, also not hard to spend 6 bux on a mic and download vent...

I care less about the API but Vent is a hinderance sometimes due to RL issues, that and Im partially deaf.

1.) API with the right tools can give the CEO / FC an insight in what ships the members can fly and to what extend. It can also help these said persons to suggest a training plan to the guy to make him more useful in the corp / more part of the community.

2.) 1 word: Community. Unlike you, I like to have friends and am a friendly player. Voice comms are a must in PvP. Outside that, they help a lot to get to know your fellow members. Make friends, get to know others, gain their trust, etc etc.

3.) SPAIZ they are everywhere. A 1 day old character in a SOV alliance screams (goon)spy. Minimum SP can also weed out those who have no use in the corp. If you are a PvP heavy corp that flies AHACs, someone without the ability to fly ships that fit your fleet will be useless.

I do agree that minimum SP itself is just lame. A 60mil SP Industry player can join a minimum 20mil SP PvP corp and be useless. But having a list of you must have at least these skills trained / you should be able to at least fly this ship will help a lot so people can feel useful instead of just dead weight.

I don't see the problem with giving our API's. No one can steal your stuff that way. What they can do is make sure you not a spy\awoxer.
If you were flying around in a blinged out mach.. wouldn't it be nice to know your corp mate is not going to awox you? or steal all the shared corp assests?? Yes you can still get past the api checks.. but it helps.

Your very defensive about giving APi and being on comms...and if u refer to ur corpies as ASSHATS pretty safe to say ur in the wrong corp

Voice comms is a very important part of the game....no comms u gonna die ..its just simple..now if u are actually deaf then thats different story

Obviously voice comms would be pointless..

If u want to have a chat jump into in game chat channel s0re
