wow 40 in one system? I thought the eve-o forum alt pubbie consensus was that all bots were in nullsec

You have it all wrong friend. The bots mains are in null sec. Do try and keep up.

CCP was playing with you. Those toons were actually CCP running thin clients to test the new Mackinaws and resultant server load live on the TQ server.

Good a guess as any; who else is going to name 40 toons Replicant? You'd think a botter would be smarter.

Most multiboxers give there characters similiar names. It makes it easier to keep track all your minions.

There were heaps of high-sec mission bots and NPC-null belt bots/anomaly bots, and a simple drone AI change fixed all of them. So there are definitely similar ways that can fix the mining bots.

Drone AI didn't change.
NPC AI changed.
AFK mission and anomaly bots weren't really affected.

They achieve the same destructive ends.

Also, an accusation is not a determination.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you multi-box too. Practice what you preach, tia~

2 Hulks and an Orca max. Hardly need to box.

Correcting you as asked.

I can agree with both of you on 2 different points:

1-using multiple accounts should never be a problem and even encouraged (differently I'd say but it's just me)

2-the use of external programs for multiboxing purpose should NOT be aloud and included in CCP gaming rules as high offense level leading to direct and permanent ban.

People liking to multitask that much are already good at it, they don't need anything else than a couple more screens and keyboards, multiboxing doesn't need any skill but some knowledge of the program you use and some practice.
There is no real difference in between bots (macro/program) and a multibox program, people can use as much arguments as they like but they have to agree on one thing: both need someone in command at some point and both are automate programs for the same task in several pc's.

By the way, all you have to do is google it to find out "multiboxing" programs are easy to find

Though I multibox three different ratting ships to make my isk ...

Haha look at you, are you jealous of someone's multiboxing empire mining in highsec or something?

One question that seriously is of intrest to me .. in another (endless) discussion doing mining afk was called against the rules because you were not 'actually play the game' ... where do you PLAY the game with some 40 clients simultaniously ? Where is the fun to play a game that way ? I just don't get it ...Straight

Like any bot, the only ones that get caught aren't very good at it. Even in a very bot friendly game like EVE.

CCP should change the mining lasers where they have a cycle time of half a second, no auto-repeat and yield 1/120th of the minerals they do now. So it would make for amazing game play and such. Right?

You have it all wrong friend, there are no nullsec alts in hi-sec.

Sounds almost as much fun as clicking the direction scannre every half a second. Why shouldn't miners get in on that kind of fun?

It did? How? What difference would the new NPC AI make to a ratting bot flying a Tengu?
