So, recently I had the option to change my "Approach Location" distance so I did. Now, I'd like to change it again but no longer receive the option.

Any advice on how to change this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Not 100% sure what you are after, but you can r-click the icons in the selected item window to change the values of your orbit/keep at range and warp to distances.

Hope that helps.

When doing a mission, I right-click space to open a small window with options such as "Reset Camera", "Show Solar System in Map Browser," etc.

It also gives the option of:

Agent Missions:
[mission name] > Encounter (Deadspace) > Warp to Location

Yesterday, I had a choice off of "Warp to Location" to set the distance I want to warp in at. Out of fear (hey, it's true!), I set the distance I wanted to warp into these missions to 100. But now that I'm re-accustomed to battle mechanics, that distance is just too great and is taking too much time to make up. I'd like to drop the distance back down.

The problem is, that option is no longer there.

To change the distance which is shown in the r-click menu.

R-click the 'warp to' icon on the selected items window and change it to what you like.

I'm not sure, but I don't think all missions allow you to pick your distance directly from the r-click menu (contextual menu). So changing the default distance directly from the selected items window may be best.

Go into space.
Click on a station to select it.
In the Selected Item window above the overview, right-click the Warp-To button even if it's greyed out.

You can also set an orbit to fit the optimal range of your guns, with right-clicking the Orbit button.

This.

Only some missions give you the option of choosing a distance to warp to. Most of them do not -- instead, you warp in at whatever distance the devs set for that mission.

On the ones where you don't get a choice, you cannot change that dev-set distance.

On the ones where you do get a choice, that choice is not permanent. You can warp in one time at 10km, warp out, and then warp back in at 30km the second time.

If there is no gate and you cannot choose your entry distance, you can still warp in, save the location, warp out and then warp to your set location at desired range.

This does not always work. Sometime it does, yes, but not always. I have no idea what criteria CCP uses, either. And acceleration gates will always be the bane of every mission runner's life.
