New Budget Laptop for Eve Online (station trading mostly-light scouting too)

Hi all,

Need some tech help with choosing a budget laptop for light eve activities such as station trading and occasional scouting...here is what I am looking at currently but I am open to suggestions with a close price point (+/- 10%)

Acer A8 refurb

Lenovo A6 new

Within that rough price range it's sort of doubtful you could do a lot better overall.
I'm actually a bit surprised you even found those, discounts seem quite heavy this time of the year, especially for refurbished machines.
You could try this too, better screen IMO : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834256599

On the other hand, you might try to find an intel CPU within that budget instead - the integrated video is somewhat weaker (highly noticeably weaker if you're having to grab a lower-end and/or SandyBridge due to budget limits instead of one with a HD4000 inside), however the actual CPU part is likely to be better.
While that will slightly drop regular EVE performance a bit, it will handle more stressful situations (like suddenly coming across a large sized gang) a bit more gracefully, so it's a trade-off which might work to your advantage overall.
Or it might not. I suppose it's your call on that one.
