Supply-Chain Drones

Hi!
What I am proposing is an interface for deploying system-wide network of drones for Supply-Chain actions (between system-wide planets currently under Exploitation)

The basic premise is to expand the current Planetary Exploitation interface into one that encompasses the solar system. It does not have to be an entirely new UI, just expanded upon the current Planetary Exploitation one. Perhaps just include one more screen that adds images of the planets and links.

For example, I could be exploiting the planets of a certain solar system and require Raw Materials from planets to be moved to each other for production.

On the interface, I could link Planet 1's Planktic Colonies (up to X volume or unit amount depending on skill and drone) to be routed to Planet 2's launchpad every 60 minutes. (This is a somewhat expanded system-wide version of current planetary exploitation network) The launchpad have to be connected to a processing unit of course. but that's up to individual's supply-chain optimization.

This, do require the Supply-Chain drone to bypass the manual requirement of Custom Office transfer and directly download into the launchpad. Any excess outside the launchpad storage is jettisoned into space. To offset this risk, a skill or patch could be introduced that allows for Storage-Storage transfer..(or just flat out increase Launchpad storage)

Multiple Supply-Chain drones could be deployed. Linking the transfer of Raw/PrimaryProcessed etc materials to other planets where they can be combined into higher end products.

To limit the scope of the Supply-Chain Drones, a system wide player specific "Node" could be employed, much like planetary Command Centres but more aptly a System-Mission-Control Centre .The skill level on this Node limits how many active interplanetary routes/capacity etc that could be utilized much like a Command Centre.

This will greatly facilitate industralists and in managing our supply-chains. Thank you.

I support this, IF all of the following things would be true:

1) You still have to pay taxes.
2) The drone is an actual ship in space that other players can see and target and blow up, etc.
3) The drone has very slow alignment.
4) The drone always appears at the rally point of that planet, and goes to the rally point of the next planet (the spot you go to if you warp to zero on the planet).
5) Attacking a drone is the same as attacking its owner (same penalties, same opportunities, 20% of the cost of the drone is payable as bounty, etc. For example, outlaws' drones can be attacked freely in hi sec by anybody. And if you are at war, all drones are fair game, etc.)
6) The drone drops 50% of its cargo when killed.
