I was very careful to use the words "business days" , so I'm only 3 days late. We were delayed by some rather bothersome problems of figuring out who actually owned some of the tournament accounts.

At least half of the invoices will be going out today, and if I don't finish them all then the rest will go out on Monday.

To CCP.

In reguards to the email I recieved about payment.

I am very uneasy abut giving out my bank number, routing number and account number. I realize that is how you have chosen to pay us for this tourney. However Might I request that I recieve an isk or plex equivalent of the money that is to be awarded?

I do understand that that may not be an option and if it is so I will waive my prize. As all that information would give unlimited access to my bank accounts.

Thank you,

I don't think that's correct. I'm not sure what a routing number is, but bank and account numbers are certainly not secret information and should not allow anyone access to your account (other than sending you money).

Have you actually called your bank and asked about that?

Thanks for the thoughts faffy, but as im a person that specializes in criminal activity per se, I know how easy it is to do bad things witht the simpilist of information.

Now dont get me wrong, I am not nor would I ever accuse CCP of this kind of activity. Just in my line of work you learn to trust noone with your personal information, that as you have already stated, is not already public information. Similar example is that my credit card info is personal information that any company can get from my purchase records, but the would need the full security code from the back of it to do anything, so needless to say I would feel uncomfortable giving that out 8).

Like I stated, I know its a wierd thing from me and i mean no disrespect by any means. And again if its too much hassle, I will waive my portion of the money and look foward to the next tourney.

Thanks

I'm guessing you never write checks either?

I don't know what level of prize you're getting, but it's not that hard to open a new bank account and have them deposit it to that before transferring it over to your main account. Just a thought. Most banks don't charge more than $100 to open an account without depositing much money in it.

Sorry to re-bump this post, but I was just wondering how long roughly it'll take between sending the completed invoice letter and receiving payment for the tournament? If i've missed this in a different thread, i apologise.

As someone who works in corporate security, I can tell you the first mistake you made was opening an account in the first place. The amount of people that have easy access to all of your personal information is so overwhelming that your paranoia is totally unfounded. I can list off hundreds of people that at this second can turn on a computer and pull up your information in a heart beat, including social security numbers and addresses. Now, this is all your decision and you can stick to it if you will. However, I am just pointing out that this type of fear is just completely over the top. Lastly in the extremely rare chance that anything was to happen with your bank account numbers, a simple call to the bank would rectify any damage done almost by the next business day. These types of transactions are the purpose of bank accounts in the first place, to transfer money bank and fourth. If you really are scared of this, I would suggest closing out all your accounts, bank, online accounts and what have you, canceling all your credit cards, and pay for everything with cash. It is the only way to be safe.

In all seriousness I would wager that the prize money was actually supposed to come from OwnTV, or whatever their name was. Now CCP is doing their best to hold up another companies end of the bargain, as that other company no longer exists.

I know that the guys in first and maybe even the ones in second would much rather have cash than a plex prize alternate...... however if actual cash is too difficult to give out, then I would be just fine with a plex alternate 8).

But yeah I guess they are trying to work with own, to get everyone their money....

Sorry but this is shocking on CCPs behalf. If you are going to have a prize coming from a sponsor, that is not put into holding before the event then you seriously need to do some better due diligence. If they have bad debt thats gone well past a year then it's pretty obvious they are in no good shape. In fairness their service and product was pretty terrible anyway, so it's not surprise.

Shame for the prize winners though.

Very disappointed that CCP keep setting deadlines for themselves which they haven't been able to meet.

You guys worked hard for that win and are being treated unprofessionally.

For once, I have to agree with Rengas. In fact, I think any future CCP-organised tournaments should be boycotted until the prizes are paid in full.
