Hyjinx of a Highsec Pirate: Some People Just Don't Learn.

TL;DR
I pretend to be highsec mining person, naive highsec corp accepts me in, I kill corpmates, laughter and tears abound.

So in the latest chapter, I join yet another naive highsec mining corporation. They ran no background check, no forum post searches, no killboard checking. In fact, the only thing the CEO did do was request my API. I then had to teach him what it is and how it works because he was taught to ask for it, but not why or what to do with it.

Seconds after inviting me into the corp, I was invited to their mining ops. Hilarity ensued:

Total profits in the aftermath came out to about 30 mil in bounties collected and 49 mil in wreck loot. Thank you CCP for the new bounty system.

Hey Cyprus. I've seen you threatening to do this many times in Recruitment. Glad to see you followed up on it. Shame there was only one Hulk, and not 2, lol

I tried that once..

I just could not go though with it.

The thought of engaging people without them suspecting what you are about to do felt wrong. If I am going to shoot at somebody. I want them to be fully aware that is my intention. If they are caught in none combat ships then it is their fault.

Im just curious, every single ship is a failfit. (certainly possible). Manually posted (no API verification). None of it even shows, for any pilot on other killboards (like eve-kill.net).

Still Cool story.

Joined another mining corp today. Soon as I joined the CEO was email bombed by the last corp. Was only able to nab a Mammoth before getting the boot.

They were actually jetcan mining! A practice I've not seen in some time. The Mammoth came to pick up the ore. Now the Mammoth and the jetcan are dead. Oh well. Guess I should've given more time for the heat to cool down.

Good job, probably. I've started this not long ago and sometimes it's just too easy. I mean some people...

Yesterday I got accepted to a corp no questions asked. I was all set to tell them more about myself but nobody would care it seemed. The only thing they asked was how i got my bounty and that was AFTER accepting me.

Couple hours passed and they all went afk, leaving a boosting Orca on station so I could mine or something.

I bumped the Orca off station with a 100mn mwd Vexor. Just in case.

I don't know why people are so ignorant. Maybe they get the ISK too easy so it doesn't matter but more often than not it will not be the CEO who gets popped.

I like this. Doesn't matter if you agree with it or not, this wakes people up and next time they will be more likely to check out who they are inviting into their corp.

It's been different every time.
One corp didn't realize what was going on and couldn't figure out why they're suddenly at their newbie starting station in a pod.
Another wanted to kick me within seconds of clicking the Accept Corp Application button.
Another thought that I accidentally started shooting at them and laughed a little.
Another refused to kick me out with the futile hope of exacting revenge (attempted and failed multiple times).
Another kicked me out after the deed, then attacked me with a Drake and navy issue Domi. Both of which Concord popped.

And yes, one did want me to stay and explain myself. I usually do explain after the deed unless their members are being complete d-bags. In the aftermath I explain what my intentions were, how I achieved my goals, and how they can defend themselves from such an attack in the future.

If they're willing to listen, I'll point out exactly what their weaknesses are, judge their tank (or lack thereof), shown them my fitting of the ship that ganked them all, and even advice on how to counter said ship and fitting. I explain this with respect and without being insulting.

Some listen, most don't.

More often than not they just want to toss uncivil insults, question my sexuality, and make lewd references to my sisters and mother. As I write this now, that corp I ganked is still at it. No tank fitting, no defense, no combat pilot on standby. No offensive drones. No ewar. They learned nothing and it's only a matter of time before they fall victim again.

(btw not all the corp gank incidents are on the blog. Just the more interesting ones).

Last time I gave it three weeks before I reemployed my awox alt. The CEO was insta-mailed after joining and I wasn't able to grab anyone before the alarm sounded. It's been a while though, so I may try again after vacation.
