Should self destruct timer be reduced?

It should be changed to be somewhat proportional to the mass of the ship (going towards a matter of seconds for "omgz what did I do?!” safety reasons for pods).

Oh, and yes, self-destructs should produce intel-free killmails too.

But there was, no killmail was generated from a successful self-destruct. Yes, there are people so pathetic, that this was a major issue for them. It was harped on for YEARS on these forums to change self-destruct so it would either be removed from the game (which would be an... interesting change) or at least generate a killmail.

Roughly a year ago CCP saw a need to cater to the EvE playerbase because they were losing subscribers by the masses, so they added in a bunch of features on the "most wished-for" list, and this was one of them.

I think you're overreacting just a wee bit.
