I visited Iceland about 12 years ago for a 6 week study program in college. Arctic Biolgy and Geology we were learning. It is a very cool place. Be aware that the sun doesn't really behave there. In the summer, it never gets dark (mostly like twilight around 3am) and in the winter it is very dark. At it's worst for only a month or so in the depths of each season, but it's something that was weird for me (I went in June/July). In the summer, it's pretty mild, maybe high temp of like 60-70 F.

You should definitely take some trips around to see the sights. Maybe join a tourist bus trip. There are tons of cool waterfalls, hot springs, and all kinds of neat things to see.

Elleren: You should try Finland before Iceland? Go to Lapland or Norway. its rocky and cold in both places. Big smile The worst situation is to go somewhere a half year trip and after few weeks realizing it sucks. Roll Anyways have a nice trip and FLY SAFE! Lol
