I understand completely what you are saying. I'm saying it is not broken. LS encourages PVP by intent. If you go there you are interested in PVP. To reduce farming in FW and increase PVP at the same time, I suspect CCP put FW stuff in LS on purpose. If there is an increased reward for FW plexing then there should be an increased risk (therefore HS is out).

I'm not a bitter old vet by any means. I took 18-21 months off so it looks like I've been playing longer than my toon says. I'm just a Leave It the **** Alone type person for EVE changes: EVE changes have a tendency to break things more than they improve because of the intricate nature of the relationships between different parts of the game. There is no 'simple' or 'easy' solution to anything in EVE imho.

I appreciate the effort you took in giving your point of view. That makes it a little easier to understand where you're coming from.

The main idea of this topic is about FW pilots losing sec status and potentially losing the ability to enter their own faction's High Security space because of non-faction pilots engaging them. Yes we understand the long standing implications of Low Sec, and thanks to FW providing Low Sec with something not-pirate to do, this really brings to light the Core Problem of Low Sec in general. LS actually Discourages PvP by creating additional losses in addition to your ship/pod. FW pilots who joined FW to pvp (we can deduce this by the topic being about losing sec by shooting pirates first) are complaining about this. They want the PvP, they want the risk of losing and the reward of winning but they don't want the automatic loss of navigable space needlessly. These items make it blatantly apparent that the Mechanics of Low Sec are what keeps it empty.

Low Sec isn't just Pirate friendly, the mechanics make it Pirate exclusive in the fact that almost all pvp will drop your sec stats to pirate levels. So then it's just a bunch of pirate on pirate action.

My solution: I propose a change to Low Sec security status changes: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=232642&find=unread

But i do have a few questions specifically for you as the opposition of this threat's idea.
1. You obviously disagree with the FW plex lockout. Do you disagree with a global suspect flag at a plex also?
2. Is the current state of Low Sec acceptable?
3. If Low Sec mechanics were changed, how many people would be affected? (excluding FW)
4. What negative implications do you think would/could come from a low sec revamp? example: "Nobody would use Low Sec space" lol

Understanding both sides of a discussion can help minimize collateral damage and bring to light little things people might overlook when coming up with new ideas and ways to promote new trends. There is always constructivity on both sides, except for in the case of the anti-afk cloaky campers vs the remove local guys. ;)

I agree. Something needs to be done "globally" to improve LS. I just don't think making changes specifically for one part of LS (FW) is the way to go about it. But something needs to be done to make LS a place more people are willing to go and more often.

1. You obviously disagree with the FW plex lockout. Do you disagree with a global suspect flag at a plex also? Conflicted on this for different reasons. If everyone could shoot everyone else (Global suspect or other flag) then it might workable. I can see negatives to this though.
2. Is the current state of Low Sec acceptable? No
3. If Low Sec mechanics were changed, how many people would be affected? (excluding FW) Hopefully more players would travel in LS
4. What negative implications do you think would/could come from a low sec revamp? example: "Nobody would use Low Sec space" Depends on what the revamp is... the devil is in the details. Definitely would like to see LS utlized more often.

These 2 things i believe will make it happen. These will make Low sec a place to be. Low sec will become an intricate part of eve online instead of just a wasteland covering a third of it.
