Ladies and gentleman, noobs, vets, mission-runners, 0.0 warriors, market gurus, neck-beards, basement-lurkers, forum trolls... lend me your ears. Presenting:




Since 2012, the the Eve Online Secret Santa Extravaganza has been providing you, the denizens of New Eden, with a chance to reach out and touch a stranger (without the typically associated social stigma and possible jail time!) over the holiday season. Secret Santas, for those not in the know, are a circular way for large groups of people to all exchange gifts with each other. Essentially, everyone puts their name in a hat and draws one out, that way, we all get shinys come Christmas morning.

To make this as far reaching and accessible as possible, I'm putting a suggested monetary cap of 10 million isk on this. However, should you own a tech moon or two and feel a little extra swagger-ish this holiday season, feel free to give more; a PLEX, spare titan (I hear they're giving those away these days), whatever.

So, feel like being a part? Signing up is easy; shoot me an email/evemail/tweet with your character name and an out-of-game email address and you're in. I'll be using drawnames.com to compile the list, so the OOG email is simply so you can be notified who you've got. We've got a nice group so far from the Eve #tweetfleet but I thought I'd post it here to get more people on board.

I'll be taking names until Sunday 12/23 (maaaaybe monday 12/24), at which point they'll all go into the random generator and drawnames.com will alert everyone who they've got. Gift exchanges will take place Christmas Eve or Day, or whenever you can log in, via private contract or station trade.

Since it's been brought up by a number of people, no, this isn't a scam (though apparently I have a bit of a reputation around the schoolyard....must look into that). Scamming would involve an army of alts and quite frankly, much more time than I'm willing to put in to ultimately steal something like 200mil. In the interest of transparency, I'll be posting the names of the participants below and updating as they come in though.

Secret Santas can be a blast, and having done a few in-corp ones in Eve, I can promise you that without fail, someone involved is going to receive 10mil worth of drugs and exotic dancers. Again, signups close Sunday(ish) so get those names to me! And if you've got a blog, twitter account, corp forum, or flock of trained carrier pigeons, spread the word!
