Why is the Rokh not more famous?

I love the thing, but have only used them on Buck. Fit up some Neutrons and energy nuet, ASB's, mag stabs and go have fun. Prop mod ranges from nice to necessary.

It damn sure isnt the best BS out there, but after having made a good show against some Amarr BS's with it I wouldnt just hoist the Jolley Roger and charge confident in a win.

i hope the rokh keeps its shield bonus, it needs it. not to mention the caldari losing shield resistances is kinda pointless unless they give the ships that lose the resistance bonus a buff to shield HP. Caldari are supposed to be the SHIELD/RANGE faction. but CCP seems to be making most of the rail boats close range for some unknown reason i.e. the Merlin and the Moa. not to mention this meager 5% bonus to the weakest turret platform in the universe doesn't to it justice anyway. Let the Gallente keep the damage bonuses, let the caldari get tracking or ROF bonuses instead of damage.

as for the Rokh performance wise i like its ability to rain shards of death from range, while being able to rep what little damage manages to hit you. while on the flip side the shield resistance bonus helps the Rokh survive at close range while using blasters to kill your enemies, or just survive long enough for your alllies to come save your butt.

Upgrade wise i would either like to see a Navy Issue of the Rokh, or a Tech 2 version.

Dont forget about the mining Rokh with them Laser II's. It was legendary.

Nothing wrong with either.

Combat Probes work just fine, and all you need is a good interceptor pilot to close in and the rest of his fleet can warp to him so long as he's better than 150km away.

Granted, said interceptor runs a fair risk of getting blapped on his way in, but between lock times and large turret tracking its not that hard to do.

The Rokh is a versatile ship that is able to field a great tank as well as decent damage projection from a variety of ranges. With blasters it can hit out to 40km, dealing competitive damage. It can also use rail guns in order to have decent DPS with versatile range management. I am curious as to how well it would tracking using Javelin though.

Because of the dual-plated web+scram Blaster Megathron that puts out 1000 gun DPS with the tracking to hit interceptors. Did I mention it has ~200k EHP?
