Unfortunately, if you do not back them up there is no way to recover them. I do present a solution however. The reason for this thread. I am making available to you for download universal settings files. You can use these files to instantly jump right back into the game without spending hours setting it up. Your settings will be restored to the specs contained within these files.

NOTE: core_user and core_char will hence forth be referred to as 'master' settings files.

Master Settings Files Include: (but not limited to)

Overview Settings (optional)
Easy To Navigate NEOCOM
Structured Shortcut Keys (Optional)
Edit Code for Overview Tabs - Color, font, size.
Edit Code For Pilot Information & UI display - Color, font, size.
Basic Drone Groups

To create a client build that everyone will like 100% is most likely an impossible task. None the less this is what I have to offer. As broad spectrum generic as possible. If there's anything about it that does not suit your needs just delete or add to it. This is a base build. Can be edited with ease to better fit your play style. This includes both shortcuts and the NEOCOM as well as all other aspects of these setups. These settings files only contain 1 overview setup. NOTE: Overview settings are located in two separate files/locations. The .xml file located in the EVE directory \Overview and the Master settings file in your EVE directories settings folder. core_user_. By importing the .xml file you are in turn saving it to the master settings file. Each time you change the overview the settings file will retain whatever settings were current at the time you exited the client.

Until I can find more RL time to add more pre-made files I will offer only 1 for now. The three I had listed here before Odyssey no longer function 100%.

NOTE: If you wish to keep your own overview profiles but want to use the client setup from my master settings then make sure you first EXPORT your current settings and make a backup before updating your settings with these. After you copy the settings over just import yours back on client restart.

SHORTCUT KEYS These may not be for everyone. But if you take a look at them you will understand the theory behind it. Easily memorable and smooth functionality.

How it's done:

I don't want to go over this specific part of the topic twice as I have gone over it on another post. I will give the basic info required to upgrade to these settings. That post can found here. ☣ Client Manipulation: Master Client Settings - Global Between Alts ☣ Use this as reference if need be.

Assuming you now now your core_user and core_car values we can continue. Take the core_user and core_char files you have downloaded and replace them with the files in your settings directory now ending with their proper appended digits.

Exit your client and restart it. Your settings should now be mirrored to the ones you have downloaded.

Updated with more reliable hosting services.

Updated core_user_ and core_char files. Custom Shortcut Keys have been modified for better performance and functionality.

im pretty sure i saw a guy streaming that had changed the colours of certain elements of the solar system map - like i think he had the gates green or something...

anyone know how to do this?
