Out of Pod Experience

I am lucky. I am one of those folks who can sit semi afk mining while I am at work. Do I need to worry about the boss looking over my shoulder and catching me? Nah, cos I am the boss!

Anyways, being a chap of a certain age and almost at the retirement point I am on an official 'work down' program, so only actually work three days a week. Today is usually one of my days off, but with the Christmas thingie coming up, I decided to pop in for a couple or three hours to sort a few things out.

I got to the office to find everybody beavering away nice, then as I'm walking to my desk I see one of the lads looking intently at a familier screen. The Eve ship fitting screen!

He sees me watching and his face drained, he started spluttering and gave me that "Do I try and dig myself out or do I risk digging myself in deeper" look. To his credit he seemed to settle for the. "OK guv, fair cop" look, then braced himself for a bawling out!

The look on his face was a treat! He couldn't cope when the bawling out came. Not for playing Eve at work, but for trying to fit a bloody shield tank to a Maller! I mean I ask you, the nubbin!

Anyways, yes he did get a telling to not let his work rate drop (real work that is, he's a good grafter, but don't want him slacking too much)

But honest, the look on his face was one of those where I realy wished I'd had a camera!

And Max, stop that gloating about your upcoming retirement. Some of us still have to work and secretly play EVE at work!
