is PLEX for good still a thing?

TL;DR: is PLEX for good still there or should i stop wasting ISK on stockpiling PLEX?

so i enjoy making ISK. but once i have it, i don't really know where to put it (inb4 i can haz). since i heard about the plex for good charity, i was toying with the idea of stockpiling plex and then donating, which brings me to my question: why hasn't there been any plex for good events since 2011? is my google-fu lacking, has the project been shut down or what is going on?

I should buy an Ishtar.

It's not really any kind of on-going thing, as far as I know, and off the top of my head, I can't think of any larger-scale disaster that has happened recently that would have warranted them doing a drive (except maybe Haiti, as always, and CAR, also as always).

…or rather, more cynically, nothing has really gathered enough media attention to warrant that kind of debt write-off.

I'm a personal advocate of sending money to large corporations and front groups, rather than actually sending REAL items needed or providing on-the-ground help for people that need it. It's MUCH easier to text my $5.00 from my iPhone while sipping a $7 latte in Starbucks.
