I would suggest going over to www.battleclinic.com and look your target up.

Chances are your eyes will lighten up even more when you find the lossmail (and its value).... and don´t forget to send his killers a thank-you note. Blink

OP don't listen to the haters in here! I like your post and I think it's great you felt you got your revenge on that person because you placed bounty on him! Hifives!

I found the bounty system entertaining recently for similar purposes.

We run a low sec Trade Hub and recently with the economic speculation on the Jita market we have had QUITE a few brave haulers try and run in and get some goods from the market. The Locals are pretty aggressive and have caught a few of them unfortunately, yet others have been able to escape.

Now, while the idea that someone buying ALL my "slightly" marked up stuff sounds like a great idea, the reality is it just means we're losing money on repurchasing/remanufacturing time while we could have appropriately marked up our goods.

A couple people have been repeat, erm, offenders. And after a name appeared a couple times, I put down a 40M ISK bounty on him. I have yet to see the bounty collected, but the calcaultion was based on encouraging a few Jita gankers to take a risk at popping the Prorator he flies for a little economic justice.

I have yet to receive a confirmation of collection, but I'm sure he'll think twice about poaching cheap goods from low sec markets.

BTW, 40M ISK is petty cash for me, so don't bother with the affordability arguments.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, I enjoyed it too. I just wanted to highlight a legitimate reason why lawful people can have Bounties placed on them. I'm glad it's met with approval Big smile

Dear Op.

If you enjoyed what you did and it's consequences, then it was a win.
No argument can change that. ^_^

Good job OP, sounds like you are using the bounty system as it is intended. The kill probably was a coincidence, as 500k isn't much motivation, any ganker is likely to lose more than that to CONCORD getting the kill. It is the spirit of the thing that counts, though.

And griefing, people? Really? I'm not saying that there aren't some creative individuals in this game, but I have yet to hear of a situation in which bounties have been used for griefing. No, placing random bounties on people is not griefing, as it does not affect the recipient in any way other than that they get a notification in their box.

Btw I need more bounty for this character. Everybody who reads this put a bounty on me, or I'll be forced to put a bounty on you.

Dear OP.

You are actually winning EVE right now, keep at it because after a year or two you'll miss the feeling of accomplishment you had in the early days.

Your sincerely,

Great minds think alike. It's not the price of the ink that counts, rather the message that's sent Lol
