Pirate Factions...

You know, while I was writing a story recently I realized something. We don't know the names of a lot of the pirate ship classes we see, and some of the factions don't even apparently have some ship subcapital ship classes (Sanshas don't have destroyers or battlecruisers) let alone capital ships.

So... I started trying to come up with some names for the ship classes we don't have names for... like the other Sansha frigate...

I call it the Incubus-class.

But what about the Serepentis or Blood Raiders... I mean we see so many ship models we can't fly I don't know what to call them. Anyone else come up with some decent names for them?

Sansha's have Destroyers.

Look at the Drop-Down menu to select other ship classes/factions.

Look at the 3d model... they all use frigate models. Sansha battlecruisers use the cruiser model, and so forth. There's only what? Two frigate models, one cruiser model, one battleship model, and the Revanant-class Mothership.

I would love for there to be more ship models for the factions with unique art assets (which means, I guess, Sansha). There are destroyers and BCs for the other pirate factions that use reskins of the other factions.

As for the names of the current ones, yeah, that's a good question.

Still doesn't have that second type of Sansha frigate... I guess I'll stick to calling it the Incubus.

After looking through it... I realized something rather funny.

There are 8 separate frigate models in the Angel Cartel... all completely original. There are only 2 frigate models in Sansha's nation and most of the other nations use basically retextured/recoloured versions of the main races ships.

As a point of reference the playable races only have 6 frigates each (5 specialized and 1 rookie ship). But hey, we got names for 8 Angel Frigate classes!

Echo, Dramiel, Devourer, Medusa, Styx, Swordspine, Fury, and Lynx. I really like the Lynx design, though it looks more like a destroyer to me... Picture linked.

Because the they are also staying for the Serpentis. The Serpentis havent any frigs, because the Guardian Angel (as can be seen in the lore) are working for the Serpentis (you can see it also ingame on the Daredevil and Dramiel, there the split is more to see and that the Daredevil is from the skills and bonuses a Serp. ship. The same counts here, just we cant see the weapons and bonuses of the rats here).
