Mining in a Iteron industrial is so boring. Did it once. They can be great for mining support: Hauling ore, tractor beaming cans and wrecks, anchoring cans, and salvaging rat wrecks.

Pilot my Iteron Mark III for hauling ships, and supplies. When I don't feel like bring in my hauler alt.

I enjoy mining...really really I do. I am usually reading, watching Netflix, or doing something fun...

I'll own up.

Back when I was a young pilot I did hop onto an iteron and point it to an asteroid. And set it to mine. Then I would take out the dogs for a walk (was quite fun - especially for the dogs). Do this in 1.0 systems and you don't have to worry about rats.

Now for the bad news:

Iteron III has two highslots but only one turret mount - so just one mining laser.

Yield wise, the Catalyst is a better miner, so is the Navitas both of which you can fly.

It might look like it but it does not take too long to train up to a retreiver. I did this (hush) at which point I decided that the only reason to actually mine is to pull the corp together to discuss something. If you have everyone mining they don't wander off and actually listen to the discussion. A bit of profit along the way is a plus.

I do know pilots who genuinely enjoy mining. It's up to you to decide how to progress though.
