Except the Orca did nothing to gain suspect status.

Didn't the previous fix not allow you to swap out ships stored in an Orca while you were targeted? I seem to recall a discussion during hulkageddon about players swapping out of their exhumers into pvp ships but the previous fix made it so after someone initiated an attack on you / targeted you that you could not swap out.

Read the posts before yours in this thread. ISD was in with an answer at post #4.

New Rule: Those with Sustpect flags who enter an Orca shall place the Orca under a Suspect flag as well.

Actually.

Pilots that switch ships at an Orca never enters it.

The "board ship from space" just strings together a series of actions, leave ship, eject new ship from bay, enter new ship and finally store the old ship.

Easily tested by switching between two battle cruisers (or other ships larger than 50% of the Orca bay).

Or by just looking at someone doing it (hint, there's a gap where both ships are visible in space).

And suspect, or other flags, follows the actions of the pilot, not the ship.

Linking pilot uses of any services by other ships (Orca, Rorq, Carriers, Blops, Titans, whatever) to flagging of the proving pilot would be very hairy rules.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

You mean like the messed up rules that were adapted too long ago, right...

If that's true then there is a problem. The Orca clearly participated in the fight.

If a ship with a maintenance bay allows someone to swap ships while they have a criminal countdown active, that ship should be given suspect status. If it has its safety set to green, the other person should be denied access to switching ships.

Funny but the entire start of it is a trap, everything in eve is a trap. Best to do this again with more friends. It will be fun.

It's like setting up a trap for those who set up a trap for you. Not sure if they got a backup trap but you know.. this new flag system is perfect for baiting.

I love this new breed of internet space lawyering, where they link something completely irrelevant to the game.
