Summary:
OP engaged a sabre and a second ship decloaked to help the sabre => OP lost his ship and whines.

It doesnt matter, what type of ship the second one was - falcon, logistic, dps - in all cases you had lost.

But only the Falcon causes so much forum attention because ... yeah, because of Falcon. Not the neut-to-death-pilgrim, not the cant-get-away-anymore-rapier, not the tackle-and-damp-from-far-away-Arazu. No.

And those ships require so much more attention to the decisions the pilot makes.

Yet a falcon can mess up and still get away or recieve a KM...

Rapier has to manage range and make sure it doesnt get too close or too far.... 25km isnt exactly a tough range to defend if messed up.

Arazu has to manage range and makre sure that too - doesnt get too close. looking at a range of 40km for point and MWD requires cap booster not to mention the slow align time and a relative slow ship so make sure target can not out MWD you.

Pilgrim again requires you to manage the engagement neuts and nos and micro manage mwn . ab and not to mention that the pilgrim is a dead ship if more than two engage it since its a close range boat.

then the falcon = sit 50km plus out of range with 6 changes to jam 1 single ship for 30seconds miss a cycle on a jam you have 5 others to try.... Like i said in many many MANY posts its not that i lost a damn ship, its the fact that the Falcon is a relatively easy ship to fly that causes many people to NOT engage, and can actually cripple what would be a good fight with next to no risk to the pilot, no accounatbilty for the decisions made.

I meet a falcon once, we circled jerked each other for about 10 minutes, then the falcon got bored and left... Cool

Its obvious to see that a good few people understand the difference between debating and trolling and those who replied with valid points thank you.

Non the less it ended up being more about Do this, do that, there is this, there is that and non constructive flames that took over the discussion.

The point i wanted to discuss was Falcon = Battle killer and instead was met with the usually "op lost a ship", "can i has your stuff", "fly with alts", "nerf nerf nerf", "OP is a whiner"....

When are we (the people who want to discuss something on a forum) going to get any protection from the internet dweebs.

I also like to debate but its incredibly difficult on these forums. I think its time to visit one of the other forums so that I can actually debate the topic the topic further.

it's turned into the usually tripe expected on these forums.

You might have missed the point. Before starting a discussion about why the Falcon is a battle killer, a debate whether the Falcon is such one or not was necessary. The result is not in your favor, I understand that. But if you look back in the history of EvE, you're not the only one who tried to claim something in this way and has been refuted.

Don't be scared, because being afk is not a crime.
