How does one benefit from these?

I searched abit around but I couldn't find anything. With buddy invites you can see the process and the [Claim] button, but what about the public link ones?

Claim button works the exact same way. They simply won't show up in the list of sent/accepted invites until they've clicked it ans signed up on the trial.
