Does the remap timer continue while not subbed?

If I remap an account now, and it expires in four months, if I resub in a year, will the remap be available right then or eight months later?

The remap "timer" is a date when you can remap and is set to 1 year from your last remap. When that date comes you can remap. It does not matter if your account was active or inactive during that time.
