Obviously not.

Define short wait please, are 10 days a short wait? or even 5? No, thats not a short wait.

Anyway I didnt opened this thread to argue with some "industrial minded" individual about whether is profitable or what is not

You said it would make industry viable for a newbie- implying that it isn't already. You are saying that hi sec would be better off if it were broken up, and people have pointed out that newbies having to cross null or lowsec to deliver goods would actually be a NERF to both hi sec and newbies. Right now they can spread out without much interference, and haul the results to where ever people want it, making a profit.

Your idea would push newbies out of industry. They couldn't survive crossing the barriers, and the profit is made from moving those goods. Basically, as was pointed out in the thread you chose to ignore, it would make things worse for newbies, not better.

You are wrong.

By having one single big market, the newbies are forced to compete against every-single-one of the old and well stablished players.

By having a lot of different markets, theyll have bigger opportunities and bigger margins to make profit, or specialize in ships that can transport goods with a good percentage of success, and make transport a decent way of living.

Im not.

There is already several big markets. Your first mistake is assuming everyone needs to go to Jita. Guess what? Players pay a premium, up to 400%, for modules they don't have to go to Jita, or Dodixie, or Rens, or Amarr for.

Even putting those mods for sale 3 jumps out and you can already charge more. You just have to also stock the complementary mods as well.

We had superhighways funneling people in Yulai. Yulai was a huge, single market area. CCP broke it and made it so there were pipelines between the empires, but mostly surrounded by lowsec, and what was players response? Huge market in Jita- for the bulk, rare, and expensive items.

So glad there isn't any market other than Jita. I totally have to fly from Aunia all the way to Jita to outfit mission ships- oh wait.....

Nope, that would be a jump over in Dodixie. What? More than 1 regional market? You mean I can also go to Oursulaert in Gallente space and buy everything needed for missioning, not just Dodixie???? Even jump 2 jumps from there and buy it in Tar???

You mean several years after the superhighways were taken out I can still go to Yulai and get outfitted???? NO WAY DUDE>

Oh wait- any newbie can manufacture at a profit near any mission runner hub. People go to Jita or a regional hub for bulk or rare items. T1 is neither of those, unless you need 2k frigates for a roam.

They cannot survive low sec transport blockade running, as that requires quite a bit of skillpoints. They wouldn't be making the money off "local" markets, the "big players with a lot of SPs" would. There would be no one to sell to, because people would not spread out. Even if perfectly spread out because CCP randomly forcibly transported all mission runners out to new regions, they still couldn't compete with blockade runners in transport corps running protection. They'd be pirate bait.

Again- you are wrong.

Are you HONESTLY sayin Industry is viable for a new player? The only thing theyve available is mindless mining.

The last I checked, it's the "mindless mining" that keeps you in fancy ships. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised at all if you were flying something built by noobs right now. So yes, industry is a viable career option for new players. That doesn't mean they start at the top instantly - like any career, you start at the bottom, "sweeping floors" so to speak. And it also doesn't mean that they have to remain exclusive to an industrial career. But you can't just shovel an aspect of the game away from new players just because you think they should be doing something else.

Honestly, this is just starting to come across as a "make more low sec so I can kill more noobs" thread.

Halle VII Moon 1, Roden Shipyards Factory, during the week, all factory slots are clear. It's only 14 jumps from Jita and I'm sure it can't be the only station in the galaxy with a frequently vacant full set of manufacturing slots. Build there, ship to Jita, make profit. Or, build there, ship to Dodixie, make profit.

Additionally, if you're not willing to hear the industrialist's point of view regarding decisions that will have wide ranging ramifications on industry, then what are you really looking for? Once again, enforcing your opinion as fact without having a proper discussion just looks like trolling. You can listen to other players and be willing to shift your perspective, or ignore them and be stubborn and obnoxious. It's your choice, but this is starting to whiff of The Big Lie.

You want it straight up? EVE offers a game that others can't really compare to and CCP knows it. Now you talk about "singleplayeresque" but as being someone who spent most of their time running missions in an indy corp, the MMO experience is as much about simply interacting with other people and not just about actually doing things together as a group.

Many don't want the hassle of having to constantly scan, setup and follow bookmarks, etc., etc. While Concord can't necessarily stop you from losing a ship in high sec, it sure is an efficient deterrent. That's the difference between high sec and everywhere else. Someone is not likely to blow you up if there is no profit to be made, or better yet, if blowing you up mean they get Concorded and lose more than you did. Yet outside of high sec, there is nothing stopping someone from warping in on you, locking you down and blowing you up. So what, they get flagged now? That is only a high sec thing because it doesn't matter if someone is flagged or not, there is no Concord to step in.

Removing Concord will not open the game up. It will cause a mass exodus which will hurt CCP financially which will hurt the whole of EVE. Honestly, depending on the severity of how many leave, CCP could end up turning a net loss and be forced to shut down the servers. Then everyone loses. You'd be eating your words then, wouldn't you.

There is also the old saying, "don't bite the hand that feeds you". The indy corps operating in hi-sec feed the game the items you see in the market.

What CCP needs to do is come up with some way for corps to take on the role of Concord (think how some players can become ISD's). If done right and combined with the new flag system, could replace Concord. This could then be the compromise (again, if done right) between Concord and no Concord and could be what the game needs to blend high, low and null sec together in terms of the odds of getting blown up over time.

Keep in mind that the game isn't any fun if you can't progress because you keep losing more isk than you can make and you can't afford anything above a frigate or cruiser and if the game isn't fun for someone, they won't pay to play. If too many feel this way, CCP stops making a money.

Just remember that when it comes to profiting off of PVP, it comes at someone else's loss. In order for one person to win more often than they lose (to continue to profit) someone else has to lose more often than they win.

I endorse this butchering of the English language and its colloquialisms.

I actually thought the hearth part was pretty imagery, but then he used 'autism' to describe general stupid behavior, we gotta stop doing that, it's really inaccurate, and kinda not cool.

I agree 100%, that's why I endorse it.

I can respect that. Lol

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

USeless, utterly useless thread.

High Sec is not going anywhere ever.

Silly to even speculate.
