Never run the EC- gate in an idiot ship full to the brim with fireworks, extra launchers, snowballs, the odd finger bone gathered from all the cheaper ports around new Eden. Hell this kinda cargo can get you whapped like a bug in empire for kicks, but out here..

You know the drill, 'jump oh-hell-that was-fail.' EC- gate, very red. 14 minutes sludging cloaked through large bubbles at count it 23.3m/s, while five red vagas camp and idle around within 20km, a sabre makes laughingly large swathes through the grid the type which cause my automated spare pants drawer to fling open, and my patented 'you died twice' plastic protective undergarments hit me in the face.

All of you know the 'oh-god-oh-god, if he gets any closer he'll uncloak me,' what the pro's call a class 1a oh-god.
Some know the 'I am in a bad place with a bad ship with a pricey cargo and if I lose it the lads will kill me' class 2b oh-god.

Fewer still will have sampled the delights of the 3a - it isn't mine, my ship is fail, the fit is fail, I was warned about this gate, I never needed to be here at all, and I'm full of fireworks. I am going to explode, IN OUR OWN SPACE full of fireworks and everybody will point at my sausage and laugh at me, beginning naturally with the local and those five vagas, followed quickly by roars of derision pouring from jabber and alliance chat. And this process isn't slow, I have no other options to escape at all but to carry on through these monolithic globes; some micro-corrections to avoid uncloaks aside I'm in fates hands completely.

I have time to turn up the graphics and enjoy the beautiful new rendering of the vagabond against the serene new nebulae: marvel at the savage grace of my soon to be killers while I work on my 'well what happened was..' speech for the lads later on. The fireworks are for a party, 2012 was good to us and we have much in friendships to be glad of. 2013, who knows but today, life is good.
