Exploration Tutorial Mission Issue?

I created a new Alt and was having fun going through the tutorial missions, as they were revamped dramatically.

A few exploration missions in, I seem to have run into a small snag/mistake..

I completed the first scanning challenge (Gravametric). The second challenge is Magnetometric. I found the site, and inside, it says:

Welcome back, pilot. You're now inside the Magnetometric site training area. Ahead of you, you should see two training containers. You will need to use either your Civilian Analyzer or Civilian Salvager to access their contents. As you approach each of the containers, I will offer you further information on what you would normally find. You only need to recover one “Proof of Discovery” document, so don't worry about accessing both containers, unless you want some practice, of course.


I don't have a Civilian Analyzer or Civilian Salvager. I was not given one by this or the previous missions. There are none on the market. When trying to access the container, it says "You cannot access the Training Container - Archeology without specialized Equipment"

As a more experienced player, I understand that I can train to use a normal Salvager or Analyzer module and get into the canisters. However, a novice player would likely get stuck at this point. The training time for those is 3-6 hours.

If the intent is to have players go spend three hours training to use a real salvager/analyzer, the wording of the mission should probably be fixed/updated. If the intent is for them to use a Civilian Analyzer or Salvager, those should be provided when accepting the mission.

Protip: 100M ISK per hour is about $3US an hour.
