It looks like the invention thing is really not what i am looking for...

2 x 1.2 M = 2.4 M...

which is quite a lot in my book... at least at this point.

not even sure if the expansion is worth it?

Also remember that you need Mining to level 4 before you can even use a Miner II.

Luckily for you, there is a pair of those with your name on them already waiting for you at Sasta - check you contracts. You can add them to your growing pile Blink

If you need a Venture to put them on I might be able to cut you a deal on that as well.

I would like to thank you everyone who offered material (in digital forms...) help and advises.

You guys have made this game so much different (in a very good way) than other MMOs out there.

Make sure you check out the Making ISK guide, just so you are aware of some of the options out there. And see the Day 0 guide in my signature block.

The Miner II isn't that expensive, 1.2 million or something like that.

1.2 million?

I vaguely recall them being 70k ISK or so p/u, half a decade ago.

Of course, half a decade ago, T2 cargo expanders were 8 million each, now they're under 1 million. So I've been under the impression that T2 prices have dropped a lot, since I started playing back in 2007.

If T2 mining lasers really are that expensive, does that mean it's worthwhile trying to get into invention?

This probably deserve another topic... but...

several of my tutorial mission items (civilians... and data chip) just got blow away together with my ship, is there anyway to reobtain them?

You don't want to re-obtain the civlian modules, becaues civilian-grade stuff is crappy, but if the Data Chip is important, you can probably find one via Contracts. Just make sure it's the exact same item, i.e. the name must match 100%.

To obtain another rookie ship: dock in a pod at any station that you don't have a ship in the hangar.

To obtain unlimited civilian turrets and civilian miners: repackage and assemble your rookie ship.

If you lose a tutorial mission item, file a petition. GMs will reset the mission.

Why don't you do some research and see?

I'll give you this one.

Miner II.
Invention attempt cost (per BPC): ~500 000 (excluding BPC and installation fees if using a public lab and assuming no decryptor)
Invention chance (assuming max skills and no meta item): ~50%
Raw material cost (per item): ~ 340 000

2 days old rookie here...

I don't see any blueprint making Miner II, does it mean the price of it will keep going up??

It is already at some horrible price X_X

By the way, is there any recommendation on good guides to a path of a miner?

Best guide for a miner, don't.
Best advice you will ever hear on these forums
Mining isn't a bad job. I make a billion every 2 weeks in a retriever, more now that I'm in a mack and hulk. It may not be the biggest bucks in the game, but I'm happy with it, and I can do it while sitting at work so I'm pulling in isk ALL day Cool

I don't mine, but the people who are telling you not to try it are the pathetic try-hards who think they look 'cool' by being 'bad asses'. Very gradeschool. They don't impress anyone. I you want to use Eve for relaxation and another game for adrenaline then so be it.

Try a bit of everything at the start and see what you like.
