I thought I'd do a short encyclopaedic post on those pirate and merc factions who are not fully fledged factions (like Mordu's Legion) but are found in the fluff. These organisations are primarily NPC enemies and their fluff can be found in their Ship Info.

This is a work-in-progress but I believe I have the central organisations and (in)famous personae nailed down.

Criminal Factions

The Seven: a vast criminal organisation infamous for high-profile kidnapping around the galaxy. They are led by seven crime overlords who hide in pirate strongholds across the galaxy.

Darkonnen Organisation: a crime syndicate known to operate in Khanid space

Maru Rebels: a Minmatar organisation claiming to be a freedom fighter outfit but in reality are a terrorist organisation whose main aim is to kill high ranking Amar officials. Bazeri Palen is known to be one of their leaders.

Equilibrium of Mankind: a terrorist organisation who seeks to destroy mankind

Friends of Nature: a eco-friendly political organisation that seeks to preserve nature. Alarus Ekire operates a secret paramilitary wing.

Kazka Bandits: a drug smuggling organisation operating in the Okkelen constellation with known ties to the Guristas.

Odamian Renegades: a drug smuggling organisation operating in Gallente space, organised and led by pirate veteran Dakeur Hallen who used his pirate contacts to springboard the organisation to infamy.

United against Decadence and Impurity: a terrorist organisation most infamous for the Elarel Massacre where UDI terrorists attacked the opening premier of Quafe's new film 'Ultra!' killing several film stars and narrowly missing President Fouritan.

Mercenary Factions

Kurzon Mercenary Network: an Ammatar mercenary outfit led by the charismatic Zerim Kurzon. They have traditional ties to House Kor-Azor and operate a wide array of vessels including the custom-built Kurzon Destroyers.

Kuzak's Mercs: a mercenary network organised by Shiez Kuzak who caters to the Caldari State's elite

Temko: a Gallente private military company used by the Wiyrkomi Corporation

Pirate/Mercenary/Bounty Hunter Personae

Kyokan: a former Special Operations pilot of Mordu's Legion who became a freelance bounty hunter. Infamous for his use of the Doom torpedo.

Magdesh family: a mercenary family with a sterling reputation in Mordu's Legion. They often rise to become commanders in the Legion.

Niaga brothers: Ratah and Ytari Niaga were a pair of brothers who became famous for the escapades while growing up as members of the Legion.

Payo Ming: an infamous ex-Legion member who was kicked out for causing civil disturbance in the Caldari State. He has since joined the Kazka Bandits.

Korrani Salemo: an infamous ex-Legion member whose tale is used as a cautionary warning to young members of the Legion. He was a rising star accused of his brother's murder for inheritance reasons.

Zerim Kurzon: a charismatic fighter pilot who was formerly in the Amarr military. Notably he still flies an old warhorse, his heavily modified Maller-class cruiser.

Shiez Kuzak: a former Gurista pirate who now works as a mercenary for Caldari State elite. Notably he still flies a Moa-class cruiser.

Zor: known to be the second in command for The Seven pirate organisation

Tauron: an old and very experienced fighter pilot who now works as an elite bounty hunter, formerly of the Angel Cartel organisation.

Hari Kaimo: a famous Caldari bounty hunter who captured Garuzzo Mench, a Gallente 6th Most Wanted criminal.

Pierre Turon: A Gallente pirate who was captured and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment. He served half his sentence and was released on good behaviour. He now operates as a bounty hunter specialising in hunting down pirates and he only does business with Gallente businessmen with no underworld connections.

War doesn't determine who is right, only who is left.
