Hi - tried searching a good bit, so apologies if this has been covered to death.

I have about 1m SP, although a lot of it comprised of an aborted attempt at being a miner. Trying to max out frigate & supporting skills so I can tool around in a T1 frig in FW, but what should I be aiming for?

  • EWAR or Logi?
  • Are the T1 Logi frigates viable in fleet ops, or are they strictly for smaller gangs and roams?
  • After getting the core skills, should I am for T2 fittings or T2 weapons first? Money is still a bit tight.
  • Is the Rifter's guide to PVP still viable / up to date? Are there any other guides I should be looking at?
  • When does plexing start to be lucrative; or is it the LP stuff that makes cash? My funds are drying up pretty quickly.

Thanks yall!

-Depends on what you have already, bending towards EWAR if it's not a frigate roam
-t1 logi frigates are great, including for fleets.
-Depends on the fittings. T2 guns are fantastic, but so are T2 DCUs and gyros. I wouldn't bother with t2 prop mods (especially MWDs) or scrams/webs, though.
-the rifter was basically unchanged in Inferno, but every other t1 frigate was buffed. A lot. So, same idea, but the competition is far tougher than it was.
-Plex rats can drop some valuable tags, but yes, it's the LPs that are mostly where the money comes from.

1. Depends whether you enjoy ewar or logi more.

2. T1 frigs are utterly viable in fleet ops. Vigils can target paint, Merlins can tackle, Herons can scan out enemies and so on.

3. I'd argue for T2 fittings and support skills first, then T2 wepaons.

4. We're all getting used to the new T1 logi frigates.

5. Write down the things you can buy *now* in your friendly neighbourhood LP store. Then go to a market hub like Jita, and check the buy prices of those things. You may well find you are a lot richer than you think.

If all else fails, learn to salvage.
