Dock in Jita and never leave the station...you will figure out how to become spacerich there or quit the game.

Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.

Or both.

I have no good advice. 3 options come to mind.

- Bow down to the blob
- Go hide in an Ammatar or Solitude high sec Island and avoid it all like a disease.
- Stay away from the forums. It's poison all its own.

Are you still playing the game or you quit?

train pvp skills go kill some peeps in low sec, cyno pilots are the funest they complain alot.
and usually have pricey pods.

Run better level 4's ie internal secruity or security missions. higher isk payout plus isk payout.

Get outta highsec, or you will become a whiney highsec'r

EFT warriors are amuseing.

Hey guys,

I've been playing Eve for a little over a month now. A friend and I started a corporation, built it up to a fairly active amount, and got everything settled.

I started out by training mostly TRADING skills and did hauling/ tried in station trading/ and I run level 4 distro missions but none of these are as profitable as I was hoping (I've read the guide to eve-central, and I've had a couple profitable hauls but it's very rare).

I switched over to SPECIAL FORCES certification with some extra DRONE specialization skills. I thought maybe I could spice things up by going this route, but it seems to take forever to get the skills to the point where you can go low-sec, or at least be able to accomplish security 3 missions.

Any suggestions on where to go from here? I've joined and left EVE (1-2 weeks each time) several times, REALLY wanting to love this game in the long run, but I always find myself getting to a point (after initial skill training, etc) where I'm getting bored. Is EVE really not for me, or is there something else I can do to bring back the flame?

Was kinda hoping to continue with trading if there was a more profitable way of doing things. Thanks!

The question is; do you like hurting people or do you like being hurt? Because those are the two options.

It looks like you don't have the patience to progress in the game normally. Eve probably isn't for you, though if you are flush in rl and don't mind throwing cash at the game you can buy a trained char.

Trading/hauling is very boring, its a way to make isk (usually on an alt) not fun. Lo sec ratting and lvl 3 security missions are easily doable on a 1 month old char, but as you have been training trading skills you are probably well behind.

How i know I've attained the Bittervet Certificate is when I get the urge to explode when i read things on the forum lol. When i was younger (in EVE and in RL) I never understood why the older folk thought it was important to tell me about how everything they had to do was both "uphill" and "in the snow" lol.

Now I do. It took me MONTHs of training and experience to get the basics of my chosen "core" profession (mission running) down to a level where I was confident enough to run a Navy Raven instead of the less painful to use regular Raven. It's been 5 years and (with 4 accounts) I'm STILL not completely satisfied with my isk making sit up (I'm training 2 new chars right now, one to replace my wormhole toon so I can do other stuff with it, and one to replace a lvl 5 mission toon so i can do something else with the current lvl 5 toon).

EVE requires a lot of things, not the least of which are creativity and patience/resistance to boredom.

If you're the kind of person who hits a brick wall and stops, EVE isn't for you. If you're the kind of person who hits a brick wall they either tries to find a way through it (or who downloads videos of people doing Parkour so you can go OVER it), then EVE is for you.

I just feel that for the amount of time I've played, I haven't really had much profit considering I am a 'trader' and 'hauler'. I'd like to get to the point where I can make an easy cash flow to help promote other things in the corporation, like getting our own POS and so forth.

TBH, after only a month, (assuming this is your main and you're really a 1 month old player) you're not going to be making much profit and while I also don't want to burst your bubble (so-to-speak) there really isn't any easy isks for a 1 month old character.

so you have 100m to spend?, look in your local market for various small items use something like EVE central to compare buy and sell prices then find something small, and relatively inexpensive that sells pretty steady on the market, now look around for some of those being sold at a lower price somewhere else 1 or even 2 regions over.
Can you buy 100 of them in system A at a lower price than they sell for in system B?, if so, then by all means go get them, haul them to system B and put them up for sale. If there's a buy order where you make even 10% on the total, then jump on it.
Lather, rinse and repeat...

Use the model that allot of retailers use, make 3 to 5% on 1000000 small items instead of trying to make 30% on a few larger items, build up your resources and skills over time, go out and do a roam, or mission or mine and have fun, don't fry your brain or burn yourself out trying to be the next billionaire in game, work slow and steady and it will come, if you rush it too much, you'll only flame out and fade away.

Of course, this is just my opinion... others may have better ideas and suggestions.

I have no idea about payment in distibution (hauling missions) but lvl 4 combat mission offer up to 25mil isk per mission, maybe 30 with salvage.

Angel Extravaganza can bring in 45 M with Rewards, Bounties and Salvage. But one needs 2 toons.

Yeah, I was thinking of pointing out that some lvl 4 missions pay stupidly high especially when factoring in loot and salvage.
the storyline mission "Shipyard Theft" at current market prices can pay over 1 billion isks if the agent offers you the right implant for doing the mission.

AE/GE/WC/DPS (just to abbreviate a few) are all lvl 4 missions that exceed the 30 million mark on a regular basis when factoring in loot and salvage + bounties and pay.

most of my mission combat toons can solo an angel extravaganza, even the bonus room and salvage the mission too, but it takes a while that way so a second account (power of 2 is a great deal BTW) is always helpful even if all it's doing is following behind the main one salvaging the rooms as they are cleared.

if you're worried about standings with a corp, see if they have mining agents, if they do, you can be able to run lvl 4 missions for them in a matter of days with your "effective" standing for that corp carrying over to the other type mission agents of that corp.
all you need are some basic skills and a procurer (or a venture now) to get started burning through those and earning some isks and standings.
